trust u to mention that and not on the fact that they might actually have the center clicks that u want :D
good to know they might have - i'd prefer that too.

oh man this keeps looking better and better! I love the latching layers function and the build looks like what I've come to expect from A&H
I'm bummed you can't agregate sound cards in windows : / but hey thats ASIO for ya!
I guess that's what he meant by "ASIO for ya!"
However Virtual Cables 4 is a better option... and latency... just sayin
oh damn I've never used that before I'll have to look into it ; )
soft takeover built into the firmware... is that an industry first? either way thats a nice feature, especially on a budget controller
Eh I really dislike soft takeover... I doubt I'll be having layers on my faders and pots :(
dont give a shit about the layers, just seems like a perfect choice for mixing in ableton.
2 of these and a launchpad and ill be set for a music writing setup. i was getting sick of soft take over and was really tossing around the idea of buying a motu soundcard and a decent 16 channel mixer but this will be much more compact, easier to setup. i hated how for midi stuff you were stuck with the choices of either a.) hacking together a bunch of cheap shit together or using a non dedicated surface; b.) getting some big ass desk console like a digidesign which even for a "dedicated surface" still requires you to page thru assigned values on a rotary to change panning, eq, etc...
I can't say I'm not tempted by 2 of these and a xone mixer, either 42 or DB:2. Love the idea that I just take out the K2's to a gig and plug it to the mixer available at the scene.
Mappingwise, too much to hassle with in 3 layers, 1 is enough. I'll propably go with a very basic mapping since I don't play around too much with fx. Just in for the mixes and selection.
