Okay, I'm with you on modes 100%. I hate changing modes.
I guess you guys just wrap your head around that thing better than I do…X1s make sense to me. Though, I have to say that since I ended up with 2 of them, I have them re-mapped to each control 1 deck. Except for tempo changes and key shifting, nothing requires the shift or hotcue buttons…and the layout makes sense to me.

Decided to go Kontrol S4, Maschine, MBP with a pair of studio monitor headphones that i need to replace...got the flight case too and conveniently it fits the maschine and laptop
