if you use or have used the tunneling/vpn software 'hotspot shield' to watch blocked online video content, or for beatport downloads etc that fubar's your windows install big time. even if you have uninstalled it... nothing will work on your pc that way it should if thats been on your system.
While you are loading traktor press ctrl-shift-esc. Click the Processes tab. Click the CPU column so it shows the greatest value at the top of the list. List everything that has a value greater than 0%.
You might also download a program called ccleaner (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner) and clean your registry. I would recommend 1) running your anti virus software. I use Microsoft Security Essentials; its free and does a good job. 2) run the registry cleaner i mentioned. 3) Defrag your hard drive. I use defraggler (http://www.piriform.com/defraggler).
