I think the words are printed on the circle and the whole circle is inserted into the plunger.

How to put art under clear Seimitsu buttons

Is this item still available?
I'm interested in doing this. I've just watched the videos - that's cool.
Do you have a parts list? Also when you put the diodes on the siwtch posts - which way are they going?
Right so I've done some homework:
3mm flat top LEDs - 3.3v x 2 colours for each button
Buttons (Seimitsu-PS-DNC-24mm or Seimitsu PS-14-DN-K-24mm)
Diodes (similar to Radio Shack are IN4001/1N4001)
2 x 12 wire connector harness/molex (optional)
Glue gun
Soldering iron
Wire
Heat shrink tubing

Good research and you're right on the money!
I recently did yet another vci-100 with the arcade LED mod.
One thing I forgot to do (and I did it in the first mod) was to test the LED's in the buttons, before I installed them and wired them all up.
Spent lots of time de-soldering. Should have taken my own advice. btw... the molex connector is a difficult step. Ensure you line up both sides of the connectors with the correct wires (numbered). I deleted the connector on my most recent mod just to save time.
Good luck and feel free to ask anything if you wish.

Cheers for the message man.
Did u mean - test with a battery before glued in? Or test when glued and wired in?
I'm just thinking of different ways to connect the wires - maybe a crimp them? As you said in your video it would be good to be able to connect and disconnect without cutting.
Also the idea of gluing the buttons in seems a bit permanent to the snap in ones. I've messaged DJTT orders department to ask about those clear buttons they were using for a while but I suppose those didn't have clear plungers only the casings.
I'm gonna get ordering the parts
