with 16 sample decks and a sample player that can sample live sources and quantize them to a midi clock that also will load full tracks. i think unlimited decks in ableton is less of an issue dont you think?

16 sample decks: Easily done in Ableton....hell, set up 20.

4 decks: Ableton could give you 10 if you want.
++No need for an extra laptop.
Anyway - I am not trying to argue or torch any ideas or anything - glad we can have a solid discussion about the merits of each setup.
I can respect the fact that if you prefer the Traktor interface and would rather go that route :D
