Also if you get deep enough into an artist/label it can open up doors to new artist/labels. Spend time on beatport, audiojelly, juno and just randomly click on tracks. Some of my best kept tracks were done this way and sometimes I'll have a track a month before I hear from someone else.

I agree its hard to tell. I have definitions for everything. But I think of it this way. There is straight house, or chicago house. (Carl Cox, Derrick Carter, etc)

Club House (SHM, Axwell, Hardwell, etc)

Electro house (Zedd, Tommy trash, Felguk, Mord Fustang)

Progressive house (Avicii, Alesso sometimes)

Really Proggy house (Jaytech, Dinka, Claes Rosen)

All falls under house, but some are closely related. So just for my own purposes it how I categorize things!
