Chilly, I'm not tryign to advocate it as a single control source, it has an advantage and a disadvantage, that is why I use both. Another advantage is that you can instantaneously jump to a value as you know I'm sure, not trying to start an argument just posting this to have the info out there for everyone. You actually can still get very close, w. regards to not knowing the position of the knob, take a look up at the screen and then estimate where that will be on the pad, maybe you won't get it perfect but it should be inaudibly close, for times when you want it perfect, then use the knobs.

Hey, use it how you want! That's the beauty of midi...you can customize it your own needs.
Figure out what an extra 4 knobs will get you, then run wild! :)
