I wouldn't put a cdj on it myself.

I would put a box of heineken on mine to demonstrate but they are always empty ;)

I have 2 cranes for my CDJ850's in the lowest position. They hold well but they are a bit bouncy.

^ is it dangerously bouncy or just acceptable?

Acceptable. If you have it set up like I do you get very little bounce when hitting the cue button. It honestly doesn't bother me at all.

well....rather than doubting something that is unknown it's better that i get the real cdj stand...sturdy & fits the purpose, less worries.
