If you don't get any luck trying it with another midi controller let me know and I'll hook up my K2 and see if I can get it to work. If it works for me and not for you then we know it's not the controller and something to do with your specific traktor setup, and we can work from there to narrow it down.
I've recently mapped loop/size etc. using touch osc so it definitely works fine using the latest version of traktor, so I can't see any reason why it shouldn't work on a K2.

Are you on 2.6.8 or 2.7 and above ?
I really do think its my traktor install or config on my system. Ive had some unexplained freezes on my Kontrol X1's in the past 3 months as well.
What do you suggest ?
Should i re-install from scratch ?
I just dont want to lose my customised comments on my tracks....

Hey sorry you haven't heard from me after I told you i'll find a k1 or k2, I'm still trying to find a k1 or k2 to make your mappings, my friends just don't seem like they wanna borrow me 1 for a few days...

Just stuck on the loop issue but it isnt a mapping issue, more of a bug in my system it seems.
I'll be sharing my map here soon!

SUCCESS!!!!! But.........
So un-installed Trak completely, made back up of my collection.
Installed, 2.0.0, then 2.6.0, then 2.6.4.
All of these installs still would only give me the choice of Button/Hold for Loop Set.
So i installed 2.6.8 again.
Again, Loop Set only gives the option of Button/Hold...........BUT IT WORKS LIKE A TOGGLE!!!
Functioning fine now, i completed my mapping.
Gonna test it again for a few minutes and then will first upload here, so you guys can see it and then to the mappings section tomorrow!!
Lets hope it continues to work!

Congrats!! I'm still tempted to dig mine out and try and map it that way, you should definitely get a toggle option....
EDIT: Looks like there isn't a toggle option for loop set, as I only get hold as well, but it works just like you said, as a toggle:
