Me too. That's why I'm excited now.
I've been already using Traktor in sync with Live for two years without having problems. But I think that this new device should give us better performances... :)
How did you do that?
It's posts like that ^, that muddy the water and make this discussion more complicated than it has to be...
I use FireWire soundcard, that gives me low output latency also with 512 samples. with this value my Mac can handle both programs without problems. Also I have an high performance ssd on my Mac and I use traktor virtual output for the sync. No Ethernet, no midi cables. And last but not least, I use ableton drum rack instead of machine vst because it takes less resources.
Least least. I have Lion on my Mac that is, in my opinion, a really slim os, perfect for audio application. I run traktor 2.6.8 and ableton 9.1.7 ;)
Ah - I've been trying to route Traktor DVS into Live. I can't allow for that much latency when I'm scratching. :(
I must admit, I'm pretty jealous of the non-DVS guys that can put together a Traktor/Live combo-setup. Being able to take advantage of Lives sampling, routing and VST hosting capabilities must be ridiculous fun.
