purple meters! why am i a sucker for that?
Aux channels with no eq or faders are a waate
Looks Way to big to be a scratch mixer I would like.
Im putting my money on a scaled down HID mixer ala s4/s2 to go with the x1 & f1 like what everyone else is saying. No timecode (which would be unfortunate)
I like this game of guessing, so here's my take :
- IF (and that is a big if) it has a sound card inside, then it probably is also stand alone
- IF it has an audio interface it will be the equivalent to the Audio 6.
- If they want to have it priced lower than an S2, it has no sound card.
- It's a two channel (midi) mixer, that is the least hard to guess. The cross fader is in the middle, and you only see one line fader.
- It has at least 3 encoders (loop x2 + browse), but no more than 5 (loop x2 + browse + another 2).
- It probably is taller than the rest of the line of controllers (i hope so)
- If it's not taller, that means there is no gain knob, so :
- If there is no gain knob, it won't be a stand alone mixer, only midi.
- There is no Fx controls aside the fx assign, even then i wouldn't hold my breath (after all that why the X1 exists, for you to buy them, wink wink).
- It will use NI proprietary hid.
- That means a new update is coming (2.5.2).
- The colored buttons we can see mean that in the upcoming update we will be able to assign color to cue points.
- They will probably be able to control the first row of a remix deck (maybe, but this is like for the no fx onboard, the F1 exist for that purpose, so i'm really not sure).
- If it's just a midi controller, 250/300 eur.
- If it also has a sound card, 350 eur.
- If it's also a stand alone mixer, 400 and up depending on the features relatives to the stand alone mixer (removable faders add to costs, so do connexions, psu, etc...)
I personally hope that it's "only" a midi mixer, that you can replace the cross fader, that it has fx assign, that it has a gain knob AND a filter knob, and that it's around 300 euros :D.
hopefully a jogless traktor all-in-one controller
I like the idea of a 2-channel battle mixer, with remix deck control, and navigation buttons.
But - why only 2 channels? Why not 4? 2 decks and 2 remix decks???
I bet dollars to donuts it's a modular line.
The peak is out

I like it. Basically an NI rane 62 with the top half of an X1 glued in.
I`m so fucking proud for my best buddy eric to feature this mixer and to be featured!
Big up`s to eric!!!!
Is that Eric in the video?
No gain knobs, it had better be mixer height as well. Again why the tease??
It looks like the fx have changed as well... Maybe they're customizable. Also that performance was a sonic mess.
Looks like they tweaked the interface a bit too and added some extra fx. Traktor text logo got a facelift too.
Update on the way, hopefully it will open MIDI for the remix decks as promised.
Laser FX?
Bass-o-matic FX?
New Traktor coming soon?
Is that a four band EQ, or did they just remember to include a dedicated filter knob this time?
I love how they conveniently block the back of the mixer... Bastards!!!
I'd like to see:
Integrated USB Hub
Any other In's
Guess we'll have to wait.
Digital DJ tips appears to have a bit more info on this http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2012/09...dj-controller/
The link GeekGod posted above confirms both those things. I'm not sure where they're getting their info from, but it all sounds logical. It wouldn't make sense for NI to make a midi mixer and not include these things.

Did you saw the video?

Crosses fingers for post fader fx in the new update !!
And yes if you watch the video closely, or go to digitaldjtips, you can see it has gain, 3 band eq, and dedicated filter knob!
Plus you can tell the master vol and cue vol are in the middle, and the knobs on both sides (extremes) are mirrored, maybe for fx control.
edit : Also i hope digitaldjtips's guess about the price is wrong, i really hope it doesnt go above 700 euros...
Looks like some new FX will be in play! :w00t:
I'd be surprised if this retails for over $600. Let's hope that this new version of Traktor will include map-able Remix Decks! Little confused about what the RGB buttons on the sides are for? FX units on? Deck Focus?
gonna pass on this one :/
Hmm have 4 channels but only 2 deck control seems messy. I'd hate the idea of a shift layer that turns the existing faders into deck c/d faders and eqs. Just not intuitive control
Just when I bought my S2 (which I pretty much did for the mixing part)... Ah well, it's probably a better deal anyway.
Wonder if they will do a 4 deck version. Seems strange to have 4 channels but only 2 sets of faders and eq's
Now that NI is entering the mixer market it might be harder and harder to get competitor mixers certified. Thinking of the DB4 here. Sigh.
I have been thinking of selling my S2 and going with a mixer with my X1. Will have to wait and see the specs on this. :)
little spam!
like my friends page if you like what you´ve seen/heard in the video!

Looks to me like a savage 2 deck + 2 sample deck mixer... encoders above what I'm guessing are sample slots down each side which would be equally at home driving 2 extra channels. It would make sense though so as not to need 8 faders per sample deck if you dont have an F1.
For now I'll hold off and see what Behringer have up their sleeve with the CMD's if I decide to stay with Ableton, traktor is starting to look far more appealing again though. Fair play to NI for bringing out some really nice modular kit.
Yeah, went back and watched the video again and thought hot-cues too. I'd bet the + 2 part refers to volume knobs for C & D, kinda like how they called the S2 2.1 channel with a combined volume knob for the sample decks. I can kind of see their reasoning here as a lot of people that are going to utilize the Remix decks don't really need EQ control as the Remix deck slots have individual volume control, it's indirectly like EQ'ing.

Clearly five knobs, filter, 3 EQ and gain. If it's midi mappable and you like auto gain it could be a xone type EQ.

Definitely new software update coming.

Bass-o-matic, but what's the M? Are we going to be able to buy FX groups?

Looks as tall as a standard mixer and has a sound card. My money is on A6 or similiar.

Looking at the cables and how they're wrapped makes me think there will be a USB hub.
