They have an agreement where they can't advertise below a certain price on a lot of products.

And yes, you can email, call, or use the 'ask for better price' button on their site and get a better price on just about everything on their site. They will also often list 'open box' items for cheaper and most of the open box stuff is really new in box and they just say that so they can list a better price.

I got mine for 2100 from proaudiostar.

I really wish this thing was certified, my Audio 8 is messed up so I can't even use timecode if I want to since I think one of the phono preamps died.

Buy a shitty preamp.

Any news on the new firmware? There were some rumours about that a while ago...

I've never really understood why people care about phono preamps in mixers or on sound cards. The ones you can get at radio shack for $10 sound pretty close, and the ones that you can get from real places sound better…and if you're using time code, it literally doesn't matter.

I guess I just don't like the idea of having to plug in more stuff and have a bigger mess of wires and boxes but I'll probably grab one today, still more like $30 for a cheap one at radioshack but I can't afford a new soundcard.

Xonetacular i cant seem to find the few pages where you were talking about scratch certification and installing your 'own' driver into it.
Did you ever manage it or do you know the page # so i can read up on it

I was joking around about it but with further research there is a way to get it to work and it is far from an ideal solution I am satisfied with and karlos wouldn't be happy about talking about it here. I had it running with timecode on my old crappy PC laptop just to check it out but traktor 2 kills that thing so it was laggy.
