Actually instead of rice wouldn't salt be a better choice for removing moisture from the air? I'm sure that's what I used last time I needed to lower humidity in the lab.
Rice would be a whole hell of a lot easier to clean up.
You could also buy a shitload of new gear and collect up all the little silica gel sachets. It's more expensive, but I know which end result I'd prefer :p
We kept the rice in a small dish with a lid with a bunch of holes in it, worked nicely
Lots of new gear sounds like a plan :)
The Twitch doesn't seem that simple to get into. Do the faders need to come off. Been pulling but don't want to pull too hard and cause more damage. The small back panel behind the xfader is off but no joy getting the unit apart yet.
Does the manual say anything about replacing fader caps? (do manuals mention things like that?) I'd imagine they just pull off. Put some paper/card under the cap and lever it off with a blade?
Will dig the manual out. I've emailed Novation for advice anyway. If they're feeling generous then maybe they'll send me a new Twitch....and pigs might fly.
Sorry to take this thread off topic guys. Really enjoyed using the Twitch at the weekend (in conjunction with turntables and a VCISE) and would be devastated if the end was nigh after only a couple of weeks.
aw.. dude sorry to here that, i hope it still works and you can start twitchin again :/
