I've just got round to doing this now. I need to grid a lot of my tracks and also really need to set my own load points some of my tracks have a few mili seconds of silence/no waveform or beat, so it makes syncing not work properly, so I've gone into advanced on my decks, and click CUE. And dropped the orange lines, but I was clicking 'store' so should I not do that? Because I loaded the track again and it didn't start from my load point!
I should only click the 'lock' button to store grids, right? Thanks
I have followed Endo's steps to get this done, here: http://blog.dubspot.com/traktor-pro-...le-by-dj-endo/
But the problem I'm having now, is that every time I hold 'SHIFT' & press CUE/REL which is what i normally press to go back to the beginning of my tracks, it doesn't go to the new load/cue marker i set, but if i hold shift and press the CUP/ABS button, THAT takes my track back to my load marker. but if i have my tracks on a loop, and press CUP/ABS, it takes it back to the set load marke of my track, but takes my loop OFF!? If i use CUE/REL it doesn't take me to my load marker point, but it DOES keep the loop on..... uff :(
4 years later? What could have possibly kept you THAT busy?
EDIT: Man this thread has been brought back to life more times than Snoop Dogg's career. If anyone is still interested in doing this there is a much less tedious way (in Traktor 2.6).
Go to preferences and make sure you have "Save beatmarker has hot cue" turned OFF. Go to your track, turn on snap, cue to the load point, delete your grid marker unless you're already on it, go to the cue bar underneath the deck, click the middle bit (says --, or something) and click beat marker. Then in the box to the right that says grid, change that to load. Then just go to the grid bar, plonk another grid marker down, and voila.
LOL! Yeah I'm a bit late to this thread, but, I've always used timecode CDs with Traktor, so i always just used my CDJ jogwheel to quickly scroll to my starting point, but now ive sold them and just use the internal decks and sync. I've realised that I really need to go through my tracks and set load/cue markers for the 1st beat in all the tracks that start without any sounds/beat.
I've got the hang of it, i just dont like that when i hold shift and press CUP/ABS (which i always used to hold shift and press CUE/REL previously)to go back to the beginning of the track where i set my load marker, it UN-loops :(
EDIT: should i not click 'store' tho?
I don't click store and it works fine for me. I'm lost on the loop thing though, that's to do with the mapping of your X1. To be honest, I'd just find the mapping of the CUP/ABS button and add a modifier that makes a new loop start at the load marker.
Okay well store is not a problem Ill just not click it thats cool!
Right how do i do this? I just basically want to set a 4 bar loop (i can adjust it to 8/16 so on if needed) to the track that i press SHIFT + CUP/ABS on.. im not great with all this mapping stuff lol :(
