Anyways back to the project in hand, having both legs made, pva glued and sanded. i start on building the top. some more photos of the tulip wood being glued and biscuit jointed to the 1" MDF top.
also routed out a hole to run the cables of the decks and mixer through. And if it all lines up they should run down the leg. i also need to cut a slot in the bottom of one leg so the cables can come out.

I have just had a thought, because i am going to be using torq i need somewhere to mount the connectiv and laptop so i can change the input from vinyl to mp3's. ideas please???
No? I love cycling in the traffic in London (and I don't wear a helmet)... it's great fun - nothing wakes you up in the morning like a bit of possible death. Crashed twice into cars recently, but someone up/down there must like me :) /
BTW: If I suddenly stop posting on these forums, you know why!
Meanwhile, back on topic...
Torx Connectiv - you could mount it on the top surface, or on the front (doesn't it have a couple of volume control thingies on it.. it isn't where you want the connectiv, but where those 2 knobs would best placed ergonomically... yes?)
Sweet job on the deckdesk(c). I was thinking 19" rackmount for the mixerfixer(c), as the maximum width of any mixer is 19"... just use blanking thingies for other size mixers.

Just checking to make sure my measurements where correct and the turntables fit.

You could make two small slits in the top that can accept a DJ stand, I know an Odyssey stand would work if modified but honestly they're pretty horrible stands. Maybe mod a Crane or Uberstand if you have the $.
This is what its going to look like when i fix the legs to the top
