@tos I just meant that you should only try and use them if your mixer/soundcard has XLR outputs. XLR -> 1/4in adapters should be avoided if possible.

I'm a recent SIMS Audio convert so Infrasonic Deux! 4 outs 2 ins, balanced, durable and super cheap. Like I wrote in my other thread you need to mod it for the headphone jack to monitor just 2 of the 4 ports if you want cueing but DIY is fun :)
aaa, NOIZE, that does make sense, sorry.
my laptop is just about powerfull enogh to run traktor,I have always had problems using ni soundcards,I get audio dropout no matter how I alter the setting. I have had to use an ag gigaport for sometime now,I know I really should get a new laptop but can anyone recommend a loud soundcard that is not resource hungry.
@tony, that is very interesting to hear, how low latency do you get on each (NI / ESI)?
It is possible that NI has managed to cover-up their poor driver quality with excellent commercials and fixing reviews?
They are all trying to sell something who knows!
What I would like to see is the option of external power suplys for these NI things to take the load of the computer.
I bet the denon 3000 controller/soundcard with external power will work with this laptop
