Help me decide on a midi capable scratch mixer

This choice is a no brainer IMO. I'd go for the X1600 hands down.
The crossfader on the 1600 is really nice, same click feel as the Vestax.
It has some nice FX including the BeatBreaker, everything mappable,
its 4 channels AND certified.

Damn!:eek: I was thinking the upgrade price from a certified mixer would be closer to the price of an upgrade from the s4! It almost doesn't seem like a bad idea to go with the audio 10 when you consider the software is half the price, and considering that I would most likely have to use the club's mixer when using their turntables...But then I would still be out of much needed midi control. Why does this have to be so complicated?!!

Yep keep that in mind, if you ever want to play outside. Because imo, if you have great equipment at home, when you go to club the setup is different, and if you don't have a native soundcard, the probability of the club having a certified mixer is very slim, and you'd be f''''ked, midi or no midi control on the mixer.

Thanks, I had never seen that box up so close.

After much contemplation, I feel I may just get an audio 10 and tsp2 second hand if I can. I posted a wtb add in the buy and sell section and now am just waiting for approval. As far as a mixer, I was thinking about going with a second hand vestax pcm-07 or something similar and getting an x1 or the up and coming f2 for midi control. This I feel will give me the most the flexible setup that I can buy as I can afford.

look for a used djm 707 thats my recommendation for an inexpensive scratch mixer

How much would you say would be a reasonable amount to pay for one in good condition?

You can get a DJM T1 brand new for $850 with tsd2 and upgrade to tsp2 for $80 why buy anything else since its a scratch mixer, midi controller, and certified sound card in one
