Don't know Nero but I just want to thank everybody who has pointed personal opinions here.
It's always good to learn by others flaws and those types of constructive feedback of other people's perform are contributing to my grown as a live performer :D
I hope Nero read this topic and understand how this type of feedback is important to keep improving his work. :)
I saw them at I love techno 2011. It was a CDJ set nothing "live".
They did manage to get the crowd going, the room was packed, and when I say packed I mean security guards blocking off entrences to stop the continious flow of people.
5000 people easily, not a single one of em was stationary.
The song selection was okay, the mixing was smooth, but I had no "oh that was good" moments. And he took a loop and and decreased the size to 1/32 , of course it sounded like SHIT.
Bottom line: I enjoyed the show, but other artists at the same venue were a lot better. Such as chase & status, flux pavilion (way too comercial song selection, fantastic mixing), skream Vs. benga and jakwob.
Knife party was really, really bad though.
^ Damn i was really hoping to see Knife Party this year -_-. They better be stepping the live game up! lol

Plenty of people that smash the pop scene but can still throw down a brilliant set, nero arent one of them from my experience.
Back to this whole Nero thing- what makes their live sets compared to their DJ sets? It looked like they were doing nothing at all... Behind a booth quite a fair way back. Would they have just been sampling?
And this was at bdo Sydney.
I saw Nero on December 30th in Vancouver. I really enjoyed the show but only one half of Nero was present. A few days later I learned that the other half of Nero was in Miami that night also playing a concert as Nero. I'm not complaining as I really enjoyed the concert, but I found it interesting that they would intentionally double book like that.
Same thing happened with my "Nero' Show in new york.
New Years in NYC...
1 half played on the west coast and the other half played in NYC an after hours show at 3:30 am. It was pretty good.
I was at Avicii's massive show in NYC. Saw Arty then left a little into Avicii to get to "Nero". Still pretty entertaining though.
Summat cool I read about them in the paper, their singer still works as a midwife in north london (not sure which hospital) full time, despite having a number one hit...legend.
I've seen a ton of major djs this year, mostly prog, trance, and house. Many were good, Gareth emery, above and beyond, armin, mat zo, arty, cosmic gate, zedd, wolfgang, laidback luke, pvd, oakenfold, tydi. Seriously the list goes on I have seen so many djs this year. Most were alright.
Stand out dj for me was Laidback luke, his set is just damn amazing ever time. He really interacts and knows how to get people going.
Worst i saw, PvD, man how the mighty have fallen. He really blew, had at least 3-4 major wreck on his now laptop set up. It was overall really bad. I will probably never go to another show where pvd is involved.
