Oh yes good old maplins essential electrical components, remote control ducks and wierd ufo helium things that fly :eek: plus the staff at my local one all seem to be socially inept non of them can look you in the eye :confused:

Tbh I am abit worried with all this firmware talk I had a SE version I bought a while back that I started using a my main set up and my cuz came over from spain and was bugging me to sell him it like a nobhead I did (overcharged the bastard lol)


so now I think I need a upgrade kit to get back to how I had my original one

So here tell me this, if ya happened to receive a VCI with fw1.1 what does that mean apart from the firmware bein crap? Is it harder to update the firmware or something that it is goin from 1.2-1.3?

tbh I am pretty sure I have one of the new ones all the retailers in the uk have just got because I had an email from them saying no they only had silver ones but then 1 hour later they emailed me saying a del of them had just came in fingers crossed hey .

Well it looks like Dolphin got some in over the weekend . Price went up but its still a good deal.

FW 1.2 but it is a DC version so looks like ill be getting an adapter from Maplins anyway.
Not gonna rely on USB ,im to cautious to do that.

Now ive just taken it out the box ive got a meeting to go to so no play for a few hours DAMN.

Ha, it's been like watching an expectant father for the last while with you!
I seriously recommend getting the black knobs and faders now. They make such a nice difference, much more tactile. Has anyone actually got an 'AC' version of the VCI, mine is also DC despite having ordered it from an english site.
