There are actually two MIDI out values concerning Flux mode:
1)Flux Mode On
2)Flux Mode State

Not at home to map this yet, but am guessing that flux mode on simply says whether a deck has flux mode enabled or not, and flux mode state show whether you are in a loop etc that will jump back to the position that song is at....like the green deck header that comes on.

Maybe this is something I didn't have working before. But the timecode vinyl now picks up to where you drop the needle...Like if you drop it mid timecode it reads it mid track.

tested 2.6 out a bit.

definetly a bit more cpu usage. have some minor gliches when changeing macro fx. flux mode works nice, except i couldnt figure out how to use loops in flux mode . anyone ?

Saw a -13db headroom dont know if this is new. the gain knobs now have 2 modes, anyone care to explain that to ?

I think this is what differentiates absolute vs relative more

does anyone know if they have added a button to activate flux mode on the X1?

the new controller editor makes it pretty easy to map it there's a guide here too

Just dont know to make the led come on when it is on, the green header only comes up when you activate it by doing something i cant see anything that lets u know if flux is on before you do something.

You get the overall track waveform, but not a zoomed scrolling one like the nexus have when playing rekordbox analysed files. For one thing it's too much data to stream over USB at low latency, and for another you already have the traktor screen so why would you need it on the CDJ screen.

so my 2nd X1 which uses the remix decks is messed up. the buttons to load sample from tracks decks are weird, the four buttons on either side of the X1 to load to both decks C/D will load from deck B, and when I hold shift and use the same buttons they load from deck A. Previously C loaded samples from A and D loaded samples from B.

also when i loaded a sample from a playing track deck, it would play and be muted, keeping it in time with the deck it was loaded from. Now it is stopped and needs to be triggered to play it, making it difficult to sync up.

BTW i am coming from 2.1.2 to 2.6

I only have my x1 with me so I tried the new macro fx and I kind of like em a lot
flux mode seem to work for me when I press the cue points and also when I press down the loop button and it seems to just be a loop roll(im guessin gthat what its meant to do)
Cant wait to try it on my controller.

A shut down and restart fixed the buttons loading sample from wrong decks.

The problem of samples not playing upon loading persists.

Ok.... So I dusted off my S4 which has been put away for a while. I have been mixing a lot with a RaneTTM56 and my 1200's..

Anyways, I upgraded to 2.6 and tested the post-fader effects... Works great.

Now, I don't know if this is a bug, or if it is intended to work this way because I have never set the effects to 4 banks. I have always used 2.

When Traktor is set to 4 banks, I cannot turn on bank 2 from channel C and A buttons near the GAIN knob and vice vera. (Cannot turn on bank 1 from B and D) from the S4.

I can click on the banks on the software, but it will not work on the S4.

Can someone test this and let me know if you are getting the same thing? Also, if someone can test on 2.5/2.5.1 to see if it's a new bug.

^ that's the way it works for s4 in 4 fx mode. Check the manual for the low down.

There is an add on mapping at thetraktorbible.com for 4 fx that will give you 1 and 2 (on in mixer) on the s4, but 3 and 4 will still need to be mapped on your keyboard or another controller.

With the new default mapping override though, you can remap buttons on the S4 to do what you want.

using the custom mapping, i can now turn on the bank, but can't get the LED to light up even though I map an "OUT" to that button.

Thanks for the info! It's def. not a necessity, more a curiosity. Any chance you could snap a quick picture with a track loaded and the cdj being used as a controller? I'm interested to see the layout of the screen.

Do flux mode work with CDJ 1000's?

QuickSnap mode...anyone figure out what this is yet?

You can click the little button next to an EQ knob, then change the EQ setting without altering the sound. Then, you can click the button again and the sound "snaps" to the current position.

You can make distinct, quick changes between settings for effect. For example, you could turn the low EQ setting down to the desired place, then turn the EQ on and off with the button (mapped to a midi controller) to drop the bass in and out as desired (rather than turning the knob, which would give you a gradual change instead of an instant change).

Sounds like an eq kill but with more control over the parameters...

hmmm isn't that just the same as the EQ kills? Actually this brings me back to a feature that was on the Rane TTM 56s. It had an EQ switch that if it was flicked off the EQ's remained unaffected even if the knobs were changed, but if you flicked it on you would here all the EQ adjustments. Cool feature for swapping in mids or lows between the two tracks.

If anyone is wondering how to map the Loop Roll effect while in Flux Mode its super easy. Just add your modifiers how you need them while Flux Mode is active.

Just need a Loop Set in Hold and a Loop Active in Hold and it will loop to the current selected loop length.

is there a button on my s4 to toggle flux? is this what everyone was talkin about before having to map it ? and i was jammin out on the B cues in flux mode and it started looping in a slot in remix deck D , what did i do here? ... btw 2.6 is fkn awesome

Maybe its just me, but Traktor 2.0 seems to sound.... better. I was only using my shures, but just a quick A/B of 2.6 and 2.0, I could hear a huge difference in quality, especially in the bass. 2.6 seemed to sound tiny and too much treble. Am I the only one who can hear this?

Actualy to me traktor 2.6 sounds better that 2.5.1, but cant compare it to 2.0. check your headroom settings in 2.6.
