Name: Mr. Whiskers (Reilly)
City: Oakland, CA / Middlebury, VT
Styles: House, mainly electro/fidgit/bassline and disco, and sometimes a little pop and hip hop
I'm a pretty new DJ...just started in January 2009, and I started straight with digital. Yeah, I'm of "that" generation. My current setup is Traktor Pro with a VCI-100 and Korg NanoPAD.
This site has been so helpful to me, it's amazing (it inspired me to get both my VCI and my nano pad), and now I'm just getting started in the forums.

3. Hop hop/r&b/nu-soul/reggae/calypso
After I discovered this site I bought the VCI-100. Never looked back since, all thanks to Ean. I'm now looking to expand my hardware, I need some advice so I'm on the forums.

Hey everybody! I want to begin with saying, this forum (as well as the DJTT website) are a fantastic resource! Spent the whole day checking out the setup thread, marveling at the different preferences and styles but also the simple universal enthusiasm for gear and dj-ing you've got on here! :D
Anyways, my name is Björgvin, an icelandic graphic design student doing an exchange semester in Berlin for the summer.... I've been interested in DJing since I first saw and tested Traktor (about a year ago) but now I'm finally taking the plunge. Been looking at equipment for the last few days, I'm thinking a bit abstract and starting with a vcm-100 to get me started, and have some ideas about adding maybe a nanopad for an ultraportable setup (since I have to move home in a few months), or maybe mpd 32... I don't know. But what I do know is that this forum will be invaluable help in this new hobby!
Looking forward to posting my first mix!

Helloooooooooo
Hey all,
I'm new here, and thought I'd say g'day to everyone.
I'm a friend of BetoSan's. I'm in the same city as him.
Now technically, I'm a producer first, and DJ / budding Controllerist second :)
I'm from Perth, Western Australia.
I produce many styles of music, ranging from primarily Drum and Bass, Breaks, Electro, House, Trance to name a few.
You can check some of my stuff at
http://soundcloud.com/teehaichcee
and
www.myspace.com/totalharmoniccontrol
anyways, I look forwards to contributing to this forum. I'm sure I have a lot of expertise I can impart to whomever wants to listen :)
peace,
Matt AKA Total Harmonic Control
