I am actually somewhat new to DJing, I started DJing when i was 14 on a pair of Stanton turntables with a vestax mixer, and had a hard time learning it, until I realized i would rather MAKE the music on the vinyls than mix it... so I started producing... Then I started engineering, Then I built a lil Pro Tools home studio lol... and now that i've gotten so much experience in production and engineering, DJing is sort of coming naturally to me :) I'm excited to get back into it now that the digital age has advanced so much :)

1. My real name is George, Musically I go by BPSS which stands for Brown Paper Sound System. As a DJ, I operate my own bass music weekly, Dub Church. As an Emcee, I hold residencies at Smash!, Konkrete Jungle, Vegas StrEATs & Phoenix AZ's UK Thursdays.
2. I was born in Acapulco Mexico, came of age in the 90's between the Madison, Milwaukee & Chicago rave & punk scenes, & have lived in Las Vegas Nevada for the last third of my life.
3. I bought myself a Roland MC303 & began producing Plastikman influenced Minimal Techno & also Jungle influenced underground hiphop a little over decade ago all the while Emceeing at Jungle parties. This later evolved into me doing live PAs with my whole studio out on stage. After several years of beating up my studio on stage, last year I decided to take up DJing a bit more seriously (Id had a turntable rig at home for years but I was a producer first & as such, foolishly felt "just DJing" was lowering myself). These days I use Traktor Scratch Pro with whatever DJ mixer is on hand, an X1 (The controller that broke me from control vinyl!)& A Launchpad running J-Wills excellent TSP2 Map. I just recently added a Maschine which I run standalone for 1shot samples & live drumming and, with Sparksta's map, sample deck & FX3+4 controls! I'm playing bass music like Dubstep, Glitch Hop, D&B, Garage & Dub though I do get booked occasionally by The Erotic Heritage Museum to play 80s, Goth & Industrial.
