Needing a new mixer so badly. The one I've got now just distorts everything and the EQ barely works. Plus when I had it hooked up it just makes this loud squealing noise which is painful to hear. Going to get a xone 92, I think. It's my 40th in a couple of weeks and I just thought what the hell. Big landmark birthday so I might as well celebrate by pretending I'm turning 21 again! .
Has anyone here in Blightly ever bought anything from Thommen? Their price for a 92 is about £200 cheaper than anywhere else so I'm well tempted. Just wary of having to ship it back to Germany if anything goes wrong. Don't want to buy second hand or from Ebay as I'd much rather have a warranty.
I've only had the decks set up for an hour or so but they seem very nice. Pitch faders seem a trifle fiddly and less precise than those on my 1200s - slight touch seem to kick it up a couple of BPM - but I guess its a case of getting used to them. My plan is to have them and my 1200s hooked up to the 92 and my Machinedrum routed into it as well. At least that's my excuse for going for a six channel monster!
Must pick up that House of Doors one as well. Very nice buy!
