really, the only thing i care about are the ratings and comments - those i was assigning in itunes anyway. the cue points werent anything special yet, mostly load and loops, but those i can find out again on the fly. :D

Is there a reason people don't spring for the 17"? To me, the screen real estate is one of the biggest selling points...

I'd say a big reason people don't "spring" for a 17" is that it is VERY expensive. Along with that, it is not very mobile, being 17 inches. Also, it's power is really not necessary for music production, and definitely not necessary for digital djing.

I think size is the biggest factor for not getting a 17. If your using one laptop for both producing and dj'ing the 15 in a booth is the perfect size and for producing at home the 15 with an external monitor is more screen space and cheaper than a 17.
