The later faders have adjustable range etc though don't they? Would you be able to fit those without modding the case?

Figured I'd dig this up again.
I just picked up a Rane TTM 56 for $250. Hooked it up, and it's working fine. It needs a new transform switch, which I emailed Rane about and it's a $25 part and an easy fix. Craigslist ftw.
(Please excuse my video skills, it's an iPhone)

So I'm now in $140 for the tables, $50 for the headshells/carts, and $250 for the mixer. Next step is to purchase a DVS system and get another pair of headphones. (Yes, my dog got ahold of my Aiaiai TMA-1's and chewed them to bits. Last time I leave them outside of a locked case). So $440 so far invested, and I probably need to invest 300-500 for a DVS, 200ish for headphones, and then a coffin to hold everything which I have no real idea how expensive it is.
I've also figured out that one of the tables has an issue somewhere in the tonearm, and while everything electronically /works/... the settings for getting the tone-arm are kinda fucked. I'm having a buddy come over this weekend to take a look, but I imagine it's something I'm not going to be able to fix on my own. So that's another expense to add.
But hey, still wicked excited about getting things on the road to a decent setup on a budget, even if I have to pump a little money back in to get things working right... it's still a good deal.
Have been watching videos as well as basic things I need to know, but still have a lot to learn. Going to go download the mixer manual now so I know what the hell to do with all the buttons.
The one turntable not working correctly is throwing a wrench in the works, but that will be fixed soon hopefully. I don't know what the issue is, and it's hard to describe since I'm such a turntable nub. I know it's not the needle, but that's about it.
have you found any good resources for repairing 1200s? just got a pretty good deal on a 1200 m3d (not as good of a deal as yours, but still not bad at $200), but i think i need to replace one of the rca cables as the left channel isn't working. everything else appears to be running well so far, but i imagine some other issues will arise down the line.
I ended up bringing my turntables down to a repair shop in Boston. Actually ended up costing more than I initially wanted, but I didn't/don't feel comfortable making repairs myself.
Do a search around to find turntable repair places around you. I don't know about Burlington repair spots personally, but I'd be surprised if there isn't one.
I took mine to The Audio Lab in Cambridge, inside the Garage (the little mall) on Harvard Square. Had the best reviews in the area, even though it wasn't the cheapest. I had to replace one of the tone-arms, and I opted to replace the RCA's and fix the ground cables while I was at it.
But now the tables work perfectly, so it's worth the extra touch of cash imo.
Yo, don't remove the click on the old 1200's... reason being is that the table still locks on 0 pitch (green light goes on).. if you don't feel it you might not realize that the tables pitch jumps from +/- to 0 at that point... you'll get used to the click and forget its there after a while.
