Fresh awaken from my nap heres what I saw while I was there from 5pm-1:33am:
IT WAS HOT AS FUCK! We have been seeing 100+ temps down here in the DFW with it still being in the 90's even through the early parts of the night.
They were checking/scanning ID's and making you empty your pockets, but other then that most all of the other rules were out the door as normal.. SWIM, nutted a sack of scooby snacks and his orbit thinking we were going to get patted down, negative. They just said empty your pockets, i left my phone and wallet in my pocket and took everything else out and they waved me by.. So, as usual security was, OK at best.
(random tidbit- 12th planet stood out the most overall from last night, for me..)
By 9PM it pretty much didnt matter where you went there were people EVERYWHERE. I have never seen the fair grounds so packed! People were playing in the fountain and security finally got tired of chasing people and pretty much just let them chill in it.
So i finally notice that flux & dr.P were about to come on so we hurried over to the building they were playing in only to be met by a wall of people saying they were kicking everyone out because it got too hot and people were collapsing and puking everywhere..
Either way we head back over to The Neon Garden and get ready for paul van dyk.. Its hot and crowded but not tooo too bad, either way he was on for maybe 20min if that and they turned the lights on and turned the fire alarm on and cut him off.. People werent pulling the fire alarms, the fire marshall or whoever in charge was doing it to clear the people out..
Either way we left aftetr that and went to the lizard lounge and jammed with Chuckie and 12th P. after they kicked us out..
IMO, it was poor planning by the staff or whoever should be regulating how many people should be allowed in a building.. if they would have done that in the first place when it got to capacity they could have shut the doors and let people come in as people went out.. Then the artist would have gotten to play for more then 10min before being shut down.. IDK, it just seemed like someone got greedy, way way way too many people and not enough staff/security to keep things like this from happening..
And whats all this bad batch stuff?? really?? This "rave" was no different then any other one of its size.. People were blatantly fucked up, drugs were everywhere, and being as weed is illegal in any form or fashion down here, its alot easier to sneak some pills in and just take them then it is to try and smoke...
This is def a lot of negative attention, and i will be surprised if they let EDC back after everything is looked into.
RIP to the Kid who passed, and everyone take this as a reminder.. USE YOUR HEAD, BE SMART!! Not everyone is PLUR, some people are just about the $$$$.

They've all got "really good sh**," if they're to be believed.
And if you don't know how to be safe, legitimately pure drugs may as well be mostly placebo with a few tabs of rat poison thrown in the bottle/bag for good measure.
I'm all for people being safe: I'd love to see a day when recreational use of certain drugs is legal throughout the civilized world. But continuing to redistribute the bad information that spreads through stoner circles like a virus is not going to create an environment in which that can happen. People are going to keep getting hurt or dying because they don't have a clue what they're doing.
And, frankly, BS programs like DARE and idiot stoners who get lucky are about equally responsible at this point. If you're halfway intelligent and do your research, it's really hard to overdose on a pure dose of MDMA, Amphetamine, most of the hallucinogens, or a lot of other club drugs. It's easy to have a weird reaction because of drug interactions or weird individual sensitivities…so you and the people you're with need to know what to look for. And it's really easy to get into a situation where you're no longer capable of noticing things like a core body temperature of 105 degrees F., which can be a serious problem if not dealt with quickly and correctly. It's really easy to take a hit of something and think–20 minutes later–"it didn't do anything…I guess I didn't take enough," especially if you don't know how long something it supposed to take before you feel anything.
My comment wasn't disagreeing with you that people should be careful and educated about what they do before they make a choice to do it or not. My comment was about you obviously not knowing what you're doing and needing to do some more research before your bad advice gets someone hurt.
Drugs and alcohol are the same
if you don't know what your doing then shit is bound to go wrong.
Everything i have done and tried has been done in a safe environment (house) with friends and i know what is too much etc... when i go out. I would never go to a club/rave where its packed 100 degrees and try something for the first time that's just stupid.And people who are selling to these kids are even worse.

I agree with what people have been saying, the club scene and drugs go hand in hand, thats just the way it is, the problem is people not knowing wtf they are doing when they start taking them. There are rules for this kind of shit: if you are gonna do E, you MUST keep hydrated and take breaks so you don't over-heat. If you are gonna do G, do a cap, wait an hour, do NOT drink any liquor. Etc...
I don't condone this stuff, but people give most club drugs a bad rap because people don't know how to do them responsibly, i.e. in moderation and taking the necessary precautions to keep yourself as safe as possible. That being said, every weekend at the clubs people absue alcohol i.e. having 8+ drinks, get sick, pass out, and in extreme cases some die, yet its legal. People just need to do a little research first: MDMA used to be a legal anti-depressant, GHB used to be a body building suppliment and used to treat insomnia i believe...aaaand Ketamine is horse tranquilizer...knowing that, do you want to put x substance your body? Do your research, know the risks and how to minimize them, then its up to you.
