It was my first time making fresh salsa verde, and it came out great!
There were many more tamales in both batches, as you make a lot at a time. Just freeze the extras and cook anytime you want a tamale. Lots of work, but worth it!
I LOOOOOVE tamales.
I tried to make soup in the microwave. This is not even a joke. I am useless in the kitchen. I didn't know that the soup had to be covered with cling-film (saran wrap?).

Ok I'll bite.
1) Ode to Blooming Onion + Dipping sauce
2) Octopus with fennel + watercress salad
3) A whole lamb
4) Brisket
5) Beef Wellington
Nice food porn Chilly! That brisket made my mouth water.
Karlos, I know I'm supposed to cover stuff and sometimes I still make my microwave look like that lol. BTW you can just put a small plate on top, as plastic wrap can melt unless it is microwave safe.
Chilly - I HAVE TO KNOW how you made that onion, mate!!!
The hard part is the cutting of the onion.
After that, it's just a matter of flour batter, shake off the excess, egg, batter again and fry.
Took me 2 tries to get the onion cut...I guess once you do it a few times it gets easier.
