Hi - Yes, I would consider the MP2014 the natural upgrade, but only because I have zero need/desire for a crossfader. In fact, I've been test driving an MP2014 engineering prototype on this system for a bit now (see below). Will be flush mounting it into console's removable/replaceable mixer panel just like the MP2015 and Empath was whenever the MP2014 production units are finally released. The MP2014's session input and controls essentially acts as a third channel which allows for easy dropping of acapellas and other types of three track layering whenever the mood happens to strike.
