I've been thinking about spening some time with some filters to extract older songs into parts to apply certain effects to certain parts, but the more labor I look at doing for it, I might as well stick to remix decks. I was going to pick up a D2 justbecause of stems, but am really struggling with "will I really use this tech", especially coming from a hip-hop background with dance influence only recently.

well, remix decks are more powerful than stems in every way, so it makes sense to use them for finer control.

NI didn't make up the term, it is the term that has been used in the industry for awhile now
