It's hard to find pics of the gigs man haha.
Various...
Winterwell Festival - Nostalgia Tent warming up for Micky Finn (using serato with 1 deck and having to copy every tune to deck B in internal mode so i could mix in next track - sketchy), With Wookie @ Soul Sanctuary (trying to switch xfade channels on mixer - bit stressed haha), NYE Lansdowne Pub, Primrose Hill (boozy!)
I played Sweatin' in my city, which is the biggest House/Electro night in Columbus. So much fun.

pictures from last friday night in Vilnius which i promoted and djed. it was OH SO BANGIN hahahahahaha the best gig i had in quite a while
This is one of the bars I frequent at... they have no house system, so I have to supply everything..., notice the egg crate foam under the vci. out of all the dj's that have worked at this bar all the people have said that my performance sound is like no other and cannot compare to anything else...
its always nice to hear great compliments from patrons.
even with running traktor my dual cd's still get a good bit of use in my shows, great for audio drops and other effects and loops... plus keeps my decks C & D open for mirroring tracks and addline other beat loops to songs.
I have a big show at another bar this friday should have some good pics, i have some more ADJ djscan 250's on the way to add to my lighting collection.
This is a wedding from july 08. Used dvs systems like traktor scratch and ssl but didn't do midi yet. Piece of advise: never attempt to be both groomsman and dj at the same time. The groom's best man was unable to help early in the day so I had to run back and forth throughout the whole weekend. Didn't get the lighting truss or lights, no go on the wireless mics, and to make matters worse; forgot to pack the xlr-trs mic cable for my sm58 mic.
Those M-Audio AV30s work well. I used to use a really crappy pair of desktop speakers. The AV30s are pretty loud, but they need to be at ear level. They are really bulky. I try to avoid lugging them around if possible. I'd love to get something more compact, but it's hard to find compact monitors that sound good.
I play DNB....

Pics from my last gig, of course its before the mob came
in... a lot of places don't have a house sound or lighting system so i have to provide.
Yea its is a-lot of gear to haul around. maybe eventually ill get a residency some where where i dont have to carry all that shit.

Holy crap djtimmy thats a load of shit to carry around! Even the disco ball?! Well I definetly think it's all well worth it when you announce a party or something and when ppl get to the place seeing lights and shit the awe and shock ppl get must be a good nod. :)
No the disco ball was actually there.... I need to get one of those American DJ Tri Led star ball to get the classic effect, much easier to haul too.
Yea a lot of people are impressed when they walk in i have heard a few holy shit moments when they walk in, its cool bringing the total club experience to a place where normally there isn't. Along with good mixed music the lighting just adds to the total effect. and so far the fans are loving it.
Here is a pic from last night, different Bar.

Some pics from my last show with Smalltown DJs (I'm the promoter):
My homie Dusty Grooves and I who is a legend in the scene here in Edmonton! He played right before me, major pleasure having him play with us!

At our parties, we always let people dance on the bassbins right in front of the stage. Really bumps up the party atmosphere:

During my set (right before the headliner):

From the stage, notice the EARPLUGS (Etymotics musician's earplugs - $10, I won't play or go out without them, and they're just as good as custom, they're just not custom-molded):

This was from the start of my set or the end of my set, I can't remember:

Nice pic of our group's banner from early on in the night. We named our group Easy Love - has to be girl friendly:

Again, AWESOME crowd, everyone was there to party!

And a pic of Smalltown DJs, who are the nicest guys in the world:
http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._7938687_n.jpg
No really great shots of them have surfaced yet, but yeah we'll see :)
Anyway as a promoter the show did wonderful, be hit capacity around 11:45 PM and just jammed the place beyond that. As a DJ, it was also great, I wish I recorded my set. It's really easy to stand out playing with Traktor when everyone else is on standard gear - keep your heads up digital DJs!
Laptop Deathmatch gig from last year. Allowed 1 Laptop 1 Controller 3minutes, i think?

BigArseBeerNight @ RubberGloves Denton TX, circa 2002? Before I owned a laptop, using samplers and synthesis to create what we called "StreetDub" which was like HipHop flavored electro Dub, with what they call "wobble bass" in dubstep, but this predates dubstep.

@ miyuru: where did you get the ear plugs that cheap?! their homepages says sth like 150$ for a pair...maybe thats including custom molded earpieces?
They sell two kinds. The kind I have are generic musician's earplugs that are not fitted. They cost around $10 CDN where I get them.
If you want custom-molded ones, you need to see a specialist who will figure out the shape of the inside of your ear and provide you with molds. Then Etymotics will send you these little bits that you toss inside the mold, which provides the actual attenuation. That's how I understand it to work. The customs are super expensive and I would never buy a pair unless I DJ'd for a living. Just I'm scared I'd lose them which is why I don't want to buy them.
But if you get the generic ones (Etymotics sells two sizes, regular and their baby blues which are smaller) you pay only $10 but it should sound about the same. They sound amazing overall, it's honestly a pleasure having them in.
quick question.....why isn't this thread considered a sticky yet?
