been reading a lot of this thread and was hoping for some input
i use to have a vci-100 so i have TP, now i use my cdj 400 setup
my quesiton is what is the best program to use if i want the "cdj" feel of the platters etc..
i dont do many crazy effects and dont want to have to beatgrid tracks..
just looking for a way of having my songs on the laptop and mixing as if i were using cdj's in the club :)
It's been said before by a couple of very well experienced DJ's that the S4 has the closest to CDJ feel in a controller. I'm afraid if you want to have that same feel with anything Serato you'll have to use CDJ"s. And just from reading this thread it sounds like you have to beat grid tracks in Serato to if you want to sync them. If you don't want to sync them you can use Traktor without beat grids just as well as Serato.
oh ok thats for that, would rather beat match then sync..
beatgridding will take forever!
thanks for that, ill upgrade to TSP and keep the cdj 400's rocking.
im not a fan of HID mode anyway
JesC..... are you serious?!?!?!?!
that's a crazy ride.... mad props to you!
(trying hard not to get too deep into this thread)
I started on traktor but now reside in the serato world hahaha...more stable and a lot better... just love how serato works... my .02 cents... now torq is another gem.. but most don't view as so.. the s4 is like a copy of the xponent... which works too good.. serato is my choice though... thinking of switching to the vci300.. but thinking about it.. cuz the xponent can do a lot more... well see how ableton n itch play later this year...
The Bridge for Itch won't be out until 2011. FYI per Serato's announcement. Probably released with Itch 2.0 I bet.
lesson to take away from this thread.
you should try out a system before committing to it. somethings click for some people and others dont. simple as that.
its not very hard to sell something a few months later on craigslist, granted there will be depreciation but you can just look at that depreciation as a rental fee
