As much as I love my VCI 100 I would like to try something a little bigger (that's what she siad) like a CDJ but as of yet I don't know what they are like so don't know whether I'd like to use them or not.
Would definitely love a dedicated effects controller like the X1 and a drum machine though!

Replace the Sony headphones (had a pair…they're ok) with custom IEMs, and I'm done. Oh, and the Mac needs to be a current model, though as long as it has FW to run the interface, I don't really care which one.

(the CDJ-200s are sitting in a box somewhere…couldn't sell them because one has a Serato sticker on it…apparently that's a deal breaker for some people.)

CDJ's are sweet man! I love mixing with my timecode cd's. It reminds me of when I used to mix only with cd's before Traktor, its just a bit easier now. You should def try to mix on CDJ's just with cd's, and then try timecode, its awesome. Mixing with timecode and having an X1 hooked up is even better!Quote:

It was. Something caused it to die a few years ago, and because he spent so damn much money on it (on the order of 10,000GBP) he didn't feel like replacing it. He used some other stuff for a bit and then switched back to CDs.Quote:
