You'd be surprised w/ the average person understanding food. I used to be a chef(personal chef even) and some people just couldn't comprehend things...even when I showed them how I made what they ate. LOL


Personally, I'm all for the show, for the lulz. Anyone watch that Smirnoff commercial aka Master of the Mix? That show was comedy.

Myself I am pretty new to the DJ world, Using CDJs in the past i am now 100% digital with a controller.

With that said...i have years and years of musical knowledge and have been able to apply it to my DJing "career"(can u even call it that since im not a pro dj...PRO meaning DJing for a living)

I can see how this is going to saturate the DJing world even more than it already is. I have been to a few of the local clubs that have house music DJs and there is like no flow to their songs...its litterally cutting from 1 track to the next.

I can just imagine how bad its going to be a year after this show has aired when every kid and their grandmother will start calling themselves DJs.

Will it hurt me personally, probably not but it could give controllers a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths. At first people will be pumped about djs and controllers but very soon too many people will get into it and there will have to be some sort of division between who is a cool dj and who is one that bites of the show (In the general populations opinion not mine). I guess that people will start saying (as many already do) real DJs are the they guys who spin with tables. If the show gets into deeper into the tech side people might even start to say real DJs are people who don't use any sort of timecode at all. While the controller market would still be happy because all of the college frat boys who now have all-in-ones, it might be harder to get nicer gigs at bigger clubs still rocking an S4 and a Midifighter Pro (my setup)
