Nice video man. I would have loved to have seen that, heard the line to get in was massive. I ended up at Rare Form which was a bit of a disaster.
Yeah I heard Magda didn't even get to play? Drag. I don't know about the line - guess we got there early; there was definitely a line (mob actually) but it didn't look too bad; it didn't matter to me though, the guys who hooked me up hustled me right through security and straight in. VIP treatment hells yeah!
Magda got up there, fiddled about with her equipment for a bit with another guy. It almost looked like they couldn't get the Xone k2 working with her setup. Safeword continued to play through, then apparently Maceo Plex got denied by security so he was late. Eats Everything went on, played about 4 tracks then Maceo showed and finished the remainder of the hour. Then Maya Jane Coles played 3-4 and they kept turning the sound lower throughout the set, eventually cutting it off at 4.
I put some photos up from the festival and my adventures in Detroit: http://turntablepoetry.com/2012-demf/
zeds dead played the most unreal set. Ive seen quite a few established djs live, and that set blew my mind. It was sooooo fucking crazy
