How can I pick up a gig through social media? (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

C, thats were u can tell wether u dj for fun, or for fam, and i can tell right not djing is not for u. If the only reason u bought an S2 was so u can b as big as skrillex one day, then u should retire....people dj for the passion of the music. I could care less if i dont get gigs, because the thing i enjoy the most is playing around with tracks. The music biz is very inspiring, and alot of young kids are attracted to it. But as u probably can tell djing is alot harder then just pushing sync and throwing tracks at each other hoping it will end up good. Bottom line, dont dj for the fame...

I dont DJ for fame. I dont Dj because i want to be like Skrillex. I have bin DJing in my bedroom for about 6 months and i think its about time to DJ at a party. Yeah sure you can DJ in your bedroom for the rest of your carrer and have fun but DJ's are ment to go out and perform at partys and clubs and so on... I have fun DJing in my bedroom all the time. I love the music and the energy. But i think its time for me to get my first gig and take a step outside the bedroom and see what its like.

When i was younger the scene was pretty tough.

That article is not bad!

Your 14 no club promoters will want you. The only gigs you will probably get is a 12 year olds birthday or primary school disco gig

If you can't put together a 2 hour mix, you aren't ready to do anything outside of your bedroom. Don't take our advice though, go out and do it, you will see ehat happens when your mind starts to wander at the 1 hour mark.
Practice bro, a lot more.

If you don't have at least 2 hours of music on your computer you will fail and you will never be hired again. also if you can't keep your mind on the mix for at least two hours then you will be screwed when you walk into a club and start playing
