anyone preorder push and get a ship date. I preordered from guitar center and the website says it ships around mar 18. I was just on abletons sight and it says 12-16 weeks???? is that just because there were so many preorders or is that the initial release and guitar center is just wrong?
I will say its a lot easier to learn if you have a friend just sit down with you for literally like 2-3 hours and screw around making beats. It will suddenly be a lot easier to navigate and do things. I remember sitting there working with a buddy and had no idea there was a way to expand all my track windows open at the same time, he did it and my mind was blown. It was little things like that you may never learn without watching someone work. But as a begineer its fairly easy to use, easier then logic from my experience. Once you start you will be looking for loop, samples, and sounds like crazy!
Also really like the look of the push as well but its a little out of my price range at the moment. May wait for the price to come down to earth a little.
yes, been watching tutorials for the past two months or so. just beginning to put stuff together as im learning about effects , theory, and all that. looking at the review for push just seems like its going to make it so much easier hence, why im wondering if i should pick one up. the guitar center $100 off deal sounds worthwhile.
Anyone know where all my Live instruments, Live Audio Effects, and my Live Midi Effects may be? Do those need to be copied over from 8 or something?
if you go to library in preferences you can locate you live 8 library that should have that stuff. Mine automatically scanned to find them, but if not I think you can do that.

I found some located in my music folder under ableton for mac, at least my audio effects, and midi effects.
Nevermind... apparently the software was still scannong or something... didn't realize it. I was playing in Live the other day, but switched back to 8 to finish up a remix I had to do...so it never finished fully scanning... I feel stupid. :)

Haha. Yeah I realized it was scanning when I first got it, and let it sit for a few hours to find all my stuff! Well at least you got the remix done!
