Yep so I have a DB4 and the K2 is not running via the xlink. Single mode is an option on the A&H site. Still can't get it working. Might be a conflict somewhere along the line?

If you are talking about the automatic mapping capabilities offered by the "control surface" pulldown menus in Ableton's MIDI preferences, then you won't have any success unless you have a remote script for your controller installed in Ableton's MIDI Remote Scripts folder (these are collections of python scripts). Controllers that come with these files are listed here: http://www.ableton.com/pages/control...ll_controllers. Other people have written custom versions for their own controllers, but as far as I know nobody has posted one for the K2 online.
I have just got my second K2 and having a few issues connecting both to traktor . I was using the first one with the X1 emulator map with no issues , when I got the second K2 I wanted to use Mix Arch's mapping but could only get one of the K2's recognised at a time , I tried swapping the k2's in the controller manager but this didn't work . I then remapped the x1 mapping so I could use decks A&C on one k2 and B&D on the other , I managed to get this working but now it won't work can only get the A/C K2 to work , I have unplugged the B/D k2 and replugged it in , I then have to reselect the mapping every time foe both k2's . I have one on midi channel 14 and the other on 15 , they are connected via usb hub to macbook .
yes got one mapping set for 14 and the other to 15 and both set to 14 and 15 on the k2's , I am getting the led outputs but no other controls of anything else on the one set to 15.
my maps run on ch's 12 and 14.
I tried them on 12 and 14 but could only get one to be recognised at a time and I need to set the ports everytime I start traktor is this normal , with the x1 or f1 they just plug and play.
if you're using xlink only, it's easy to connect them in the wrong order. DB4 is always the in at the end of the chain. K2A out, into K2B in, K2B out into DB4 in. then in traktor your in and out port will be the DB4 for both parts of the map - transport and fx.
if you're using USB and an xlink connection - the same chain applies. K2A out into K2B in, K2B usb into your computer. then in traktor you'll set the in/out ports to K2 as above.
if the K2's are not waking up then run snoize midi monitor. also make sure their firmware is updated. and that your xlink port is not messed up from shoving usb cables into the wrong hole.
i'd also suggest deleting all the tsi's in your preferences (after you export any unsaved changes), then reimport the K2 tsi using the import button on the bottom left of the preferences. make your port assignments if needed and roll from there. you may need to restart traktor to see the led's come to life on boot, or just press all the buttons to wake them up.
traktor remembers your last state, so port assignments are only done once unless you're changing the connection method constantly.
thanks will try this tonight , I am using ur Db4 tsi will this be ok to import using the small import once I have the k2's setup.
All working now thanks Mix Arch for all the help.
