the blog says "Duo 2 and Duo 2 Scratch users get a free upgrade today to Pro 2." so who knows... doesn't make sense mind you for a a "duo scratch" user to upgrade to tp2 as it's not really an *upgrade*.

Sorry I meant as Club Install Machines whereby you would only need to bring your tracks and not need to setup anything - would be nice but wont happen anytime soon though.

Maybe its just me, but I'd welcome a standardized controller setup of some description in clubs, be that f1's, x1's, cdj + recordbox/traktor or whatever where I can walk in and be sure the hardware is already in place and dont need to dick around with cables/controllers/stands etc ... just plug in my music and go.

Things used to be so easy :P

People in clubs abuse everything- the last thing I would want is to use some club laptop where I don't have control over the settings the last person used, what version software they are running, what shape the system is in, not have my library ready to go and cataloged right there, etc...

Right, so i bought a numark mixtrack which came with traktor 2 le. I havent ever registered it as i already had and used virtual dj, but recently i have been looking at trying out traktor and seeing which i like better. Does this now mean that i can register my traktor 2 le and get it upgraded to traktor pro 2 for nothing???

quite possibly... i can't find anything that mentions how recently the copy of LE has been bought - only when it was registered. they might have some cut off i guess - could be some small print somewhere. u have nothing to lose tho by giving it a go ;)

No, it doesn't. The LE to Pro offer is only valid for NI's own hardware bought and registered after April 1st, not 3rd party stuff. That's what they mean by "Traktor hardware", it's all Traktor branded now. There isn't even an LE to Pro update in the new lineup - you just buy the full Pro2 licence, which is much cheaper than the old upgrade price anyway.

Edit: However, if you haven't got a proper audio interface (and that's a Mixtrack, not Pro) - look into the Audio2, now comes with full TPro2 for under a hundred...

LE to Pro 2 is $89.
