I did. What is it i dont understand about audio interfaces? You plug a device that inputs sound, the audio interface "increases the quality of the sound" while allowing you to output with the correct chords[RCA Cable] into a mixer or straight to the pa system.
Audio interfaces do not "increase quality of sound".
IT can though if it has a sound card correct? - still lil confused there
For the main part it just inputs and outputs with flexibility of different cables and cords
Anyways Im thinking im going to get an audio 2, and an external mixer for mic and "master output" i think its called.
So say i didn't have an external mixer. what would i use for mic?
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Interface
If you already have a Focusrite scarlett 2i2, why are you buying another sound card...
You really need to read more about the gear and what it does..
Yes. I'm almost 100% sure that you still aren't understanding why you're buying the sound card though.
Go over NI's website and read their product descriptions and manuals for the sound cards.
SeanB,
Didn't knew you already made this thread. I'd suggest you to get yourself an S2 or wait a bit more for CMD studio 4A. If you want to keep it simple then xoneK2 would be right choice for starting out and learning basics... You can always add new gear from there and keep K2 for effects or mixer.
