Drugs? Who's doing drugs? And, you can bet your ass that at most 'dance' events a big proportion of the crowd are on some drug or other. I ain't advocating drugs (and as a rule we tend not to discuss drugs on the forum) but your making quite an assumption.
I don't know about where you live but in the UK it's ok to smoke a cigarette outside and whilst you dj. I've seen people doing things a lot more risqué than smoking at gigs - trust me the world is a pretty 'funky' place. As for drinking from the bottle, I'd be surprised if I didn't see someone drinking Jack Daniels from the bottle.

I don't know about that video but I do know the realities of gigging - Your in for a big surprise when you do your first gigs with lots of other DJ's in attendance.

I just wondered why that video made you assume that it was badly serviced by emergency services.

I am not completely sure but I think in BC out door parties have to be drug and alcohol free. the large ones do anyways. even if that were not true you still cant drink on stage because of the sound crew, they are sort of like festivals. no one follows those rules they just stash it in there car and bring it in.

I'm reminded of the amnesty dump going into tomorrowworld. I don't think anybody walked past it without wondering if it was actually an amnesty bin run by the police or if some guy was just trying to score free warez.

parties get shut down all the time cause of drugs here. what is a amnesty bin?

I've been to half a dozen raves in the states and I swear there was always at least one death. Actually saw a jeep in front of me drive off the road and into a ravine in the middle of the desert in California once. Guy must have passed out or something. And it was crazy because it was the desert, absolutely nothing to hit. hundreds of miles of nothing and he picks the place there is a ravine. We honked and could see the people in the back seat trying to get over the seats to the front. They party to a different level in America, and so young, like mostly teenagers.

They need an escape from the "American Dream".

Forget the drug aspect - that's illegal and we don't wanna go there on the forum but NO BOOZE.

What the hell have the sound crew got to do with anything. Those people are there to do the sound, it has nothing to do with them otherwise the DJ's would all have to wear hi-vis jackets and ear defenders.
