arghghh so right you all are..I sent it in Sept. 2009... so I do not have the latest firmware. What is the most updated traktor that works with 1.3 firmware?
well. I'm pretty sure all you need to do is delete the jogwheel and pitch fader assignments and reassign them yourself. the rest of the
mapping should still work normally.
do none of the controls work whatsoever ?
check to see if the midi in/out ports are set to the vestax vci100.
sometimes importing the mapping does not do this automatically....

Hi folks! so here's a question for folks in general, maybe Klaemo a little more than most. What are the chances that someone far cleverer than I will be able to adapt Flashflooder or Klaemo's latest mappings (with the latest overlay) to Pro 2.5. I understand it would be an impossible task to get much of the signals in, but as the remix decks do still on a basic level function similar to the sample decks, how likely is it that the mapping could be mofified to at least retain the sample deck functionality (ie. load and trigger) within the remix decks. I ask this question as it would seem that 2.5 is an upgrade in many ways (better beat count/gridding engine, MUCH lower CPU usage, etc..... its almost as though the bigwigs at NI were following our loving petition for a new overlay and announced a new version of traktor only weeks later just to f*** with our heads!!! :) of course thats ridiculous, but the timing was kind of ironic. Anyhow, if anyone has any ideas or opinions on this I would love to hear them. Thanks for reading! J

no it does not. sample dex functionality does not work in the remix decks.
what about the rest of the mapping? transport, effects etc? i don't care about the remix deck functionality since i am planning to use an f1 for that anyway.
From my point the rest of the mapping works just as it should work

from my limited play around before rolling back to 2.2 all elements of the mapping work less sample decks, which makes sense really! :)
I have a mapping I am working on for those people like me who use the VCI-100SE with an external mixer. All the mixer applications I have re-assigned to effects and other nice functions. Will post soon.

I've got a problem with 4.1 and Traktor 2.. I can activate the effects on deck B BUT they don't work... ? Any solution ???
I'm having several issues with this and Traktor 2.5 (Firmware 1.3) I liked the feature where Deck C and D "disappear" when I'm not controlling them. Now, instead, they grow bigger when I've deactivated control of them.
The FX preset buttons load the preset instantly when I hit the button, but sends it to FX bank 1. Now, holding FX-Preset 1 and either headphone button (which used to load that FX into bank 1 or 2) moves up a folder in the browser.
Fader FX-mode manipulates the same FX-bank (1) for both decks (!). This is a huge issue for me.
The 3.6.4 worked much better for Traktor 2.5 for me, except the Sampler-section did some random stuff..
I just wanted to chime in and say that 2.5 Remix Decks are kind of a mess when using VCI-100SE with the 4.1 mapping. Does anyone know how to get the Sample Deck functionality back? The Remix Decks are giving me nothing but trouble.

This will be down to whatever layouts you have in the layout bit. I think the button just selects a layout position in the list. Work out which layout it selects when you press he button, then create the look you want in that specific layout for deck c d control.Quote:

@sno maybe my problem is the same as you have, I also work with 2.5. Everything seems to work except my described problem.

I am using Traktor 2.6.0 and I cannot send FX Presets to any deck other than deck A. I am holding down the FX Preset button and the Headphone toggle of the deck I want the FX Preset routed to.

When you set up your mapping, did you import it twice? For whatever reason, the first import of the mapping never gets everything set correctly. Try importing a few times and see if the issue is corrected.
I did do it twice. I will try a few more times and see if that helps.
Press and hold ROUTE FX and then select the deck by using the buttons below fx controls. Read the walkthrough from 3.6.4. It's got to be the same in 4.1Quote:

I do this..
1. I leave the VCI-100 in the Sun to soften the old glue up.
(too cold...it's Winter time??- Use a hair dryer on medium to soften the glue..NOT HIGH- or the glue gets too goopy and you could damage something)
2. I try to peel as much off in as large pieces as possible (you must pull the old sticker very slowly and steady- pull too hard or try to make it peel too fast and it will tear)- and BIG HINT ...pull the old sticker back upon itself - instead of pulling straight up. I take a pair of needle nose pliers and open them up and then cover each of the metal tips with electrical tape to prevent the possibility of scratching your VCI-100.
Once you get off the big pieces ...
3. Use the goo gone sticker remover kit tool (It's plastic and fantastic at doing it's job) to start the left over pieces and then grab those smaller pieces with the needle nose pliers and slowly "roll up" the sticker onto the pliers..every so often unrolling a bit and clipping it shorter with scissors. This goes very fast. Plastic paint tools are too big and clumsy..they work but it is too easy to slip with them and bend a fader. You can also let your fingernails grow longer for 2 weeks before and go "Wolverine" on it and trim your nails afterwards.
Keep a garbage close by to toss the strips in- if you put them down..a dog or person will track them everywhere.
You should have the sticker off in 5-10 minutes.
4.Then I use the sticker remover fluid and the plastic tool to scrape off the rest of the glue (PITA)- taking care not to let any fall into the faders by putting folded paper napkin inside + scotch tape over the slit.
5. CAVEAT: YOU MAY SKIP THIS STEP. The new Overlay will stick on the old glue just fine.. but if you want it like new... bumpless....
After the sticker is off - you will have some glue left stuck on your VCI-100... I use a blast of "Auto Starter fluid (Petroleum Ether) " - SPRAY ON A COARSE RAG NOT DIRECTLY ON THE VCI-100

- WITHOUT ANY OPEN FLAMES OR PILOT LIGHTS OR EVEN A LIGHT SWITCH NEARBY. IT IS SUPER EXPLOSIVE.. DO NOT DECIDE TO HAVE A "420 BREAK" WHILE DOING THIS. orrrrr BOOOOOOM!
and you might will end like Richard Pryor.
6. To strip off the goo gone residue. You can also hit it with Windex a couple of times and then rubbing alcohol. Or acetone followed by rubbing alcohol.
So 5-10 minutes of work..and you'll have a naked VCI-100 just begging for a new sticker.
THE LAST SOLVENTS ARE TO REMOVE THE GOO GONE WHICH WILL PREVENT A NEW OVERLAY FROM ADHERING WELL.
7. Don't try to save the overlays....I have never gotten them off in one piece. If you do want to reuse them.... You could just remove part of the wax paper in a few key areas.... so you would be able to swap them..
I liked the V3 version myself , and wished I had done that when I applied it as I bought V4 and never got the hang of that one and bought another V3.
But hey....I bought the EG-VCI-400 soon after it came out, and went back to the smaller form factor of the VCI-100 which for me played better....I guess because I like the size... I would like to add a Midi fighter and iPad to it someday- but I like the essentials all packed in close on the VCI-100.
I wonder if a V5 sticker will come out one day.
Maybe someone will "sticky" my sticker removal post..lol.

I have the last version of traktor with a vci-100 that i upgraded with 1.4 firmware , with this mapping my jogwheels aren't working , any idea how to fix it ?
As above i have firmware 1.4 and the 4.1 file for traktor pro 2 and i dont have scratch mode on the jog wheels they stop the record if you touch them but you cant move it back and forth, but they pitch bend.
i would also like the old skool fader fx file but cant seem to find a copy that downloads properly.
help me keep my vci alive PLEASE!!!!

Hey DJTT, I currently use a Pioneer WeGo and I'm trying to midi map code the Fader FX Mode that this TSI file does for the VCI 100. I can pretty much do it, except for the last bit where the fader turns on the Button 3 when the fader hits the bottom (zero point). Can't seem to work out this one. Any tips?
Yo DJTT, would love to know how to midi map a fader such that it can be used to turn on the third effect (Button 3) when the fader is completely off, as this set up does. I don't have a VCI-100 (I have a Pioneer WeGo) so can't work it out from the TSI file. I can code everything else but this last bit. Any help?
