This is why the Middle East and people around the world hate Americans.

So because Osama was in Pakistan then that automatically makes all Pakistani people and the country bad and worth attacking and that would be justified (you seem to imply by saying you'd get out of there if you lived there)? Sorry, didn't understand your point.
No wonder the World is screwed up with logic like that!
Quick edit :p
I feel like this whole the guy who killed osama business is going to be the next meme. For example "The guy who killed osama has already been to mars...hence why there are absolutely no signs of life."
todays paper is hilarious

i so hope that's real.
Oh hey another dead warfighter. Does this mean evil is gone now?
I mean, what he did was abominable. Inexcusable. How many innocents then had to die to bring this man to justice, though? Many more than Osama ever killed. Bloodshed begets bloodshed, and vengeance is an infinite cycle where no one wins.
I understand the closure, and the feeling of vindication. It's great we no longer have to live in a world where this man is a threat. But even the friends and family of 9/11 victims will find this does not improve their lives dramatically, I'm sure- making a martyr of the man is probably going to create some unwanted side effects as well.
I'm glad to hear they at least gave him the opportunity to surrender. The west certainly maintained moral high ground in that regard.
I beg that no one construes this as anti-American or pro-Osama. I just wish for peace and respect for human rights in the most expedient matter possible. It's obvious Osama was a threat to this, but that doesn't make me happy that there's one more to add to the body count of a war that has been bloody and taken a horrid toll on all sides.
The nobel peace prize is killing people , undercover, ambush,, now the nobel prize is like the grammys and the oscars.
I wonder how South Park will handle the situation. Surely Matt and Trey will want to have this in an episode.
Yep you're right but he did need bringing to justice for what he did.
Just been watching the news and they said he wouldn't surrender and the Americans didn't want him to - so the way I see it he got what he deserved.
And to anyone who thinks this is a hoax - if he wasn't dead he would've been on tv by now. The only other possible explanation is they took him alive but are denying it.
And I doubt this very much - the SEALS landed on the roof in 2 Black Hawks and there was a 40 minute firefight, so the chances of them getting him alive are very slim.
The scary thing is that Al-Qaeda and the extremists will want revenge, and it's unlikely to be in the U.S. becuase of their security - it'll be most likely over here in the UK.
