i had a bit of a similar experience over new years at a place called the lucky buddha in RVA. was about 11pm and a girl had passed out (i dont think it was just alcohol either, the paramedics eventually came to get her...) and the bouncers were trying to get her out of the club. im at the bar (which was on the way to the door) with like 20 other people. the bouncers are comin through and we are all pressed up against the bar. so the bouncer bumps into one of the guys i was with and starts yellin at him, "dont you ever push me!", etc. im sittin here thinkin, you have a girl completely passed out and you want to yell at a random patron because you think he pushed you?

A little lesson about club life: on more than the occasion your going to find the bouncer seeked out the job to bully professionally.. In which case their either too dumb to be cops or have a criminal record preventing it, so they take the lesser respective position of security guard or bouncer. with the combination of getting no respect for their "authority" & drunk on the "power" of having it - things can play out prrretty badly if you don't play your cards right. they're usually simple minded creatures, distract them with gestures like "damn man you should work at (then name a different club) my friend works there, their bouncers are scrony, my girlfriend could beat there asses hahah" this should stroke there ego enough for them to move along.
