Seem like nobody knows how to fix this for ya... I never really played with that controller so I couldn't be of much help to you NFS. It would be stupid for Traktor not to supports this feature you are talking about (give it bit more testing) eventually try to use midimasher. If mm can't work that out ether contact NI support and see what they can come up with.

Hey guys, did a quick search - couldn't find anything. Is there a way to have the master output go through your headphones in the Ean Golden s4 track preparation mapping? I fool around on my s4 with just the headphones on usually (bedroom use) and would like to be able to hear the track I'm prepping when I'm using his mapping. Currently only hear the tick of the metronome through the headphones...

Go to "output routing" in preferences and as "output master" set S4 headphones channels.
You can also leave one phone for tick as it is now and set other phone to be master output so you can hear both thing.

the mapping you listed on sets the effect to that value, you need more mapping to turn on the effect....and it has to be in away that when u hold the button it stays on...and off on release.

ok got it, wow i think there's something wrong with my traktor pro 2. it didnt work til like after the 5th time of mapping the same thing.
add in > effect (1 or 2 or 3) on > learn a button > set to hold
add in > effect (1 or 3 or 3) amount > learn the same button as above > set to direct > set a number from 0 to 1
this is assume u have choosing beatmasher in the effect (1 or 2 or 3) slot. or u can map for the beatmasher effect to be selected when u press a buttong with "add in > effect (1 or 2 or 3) select > learn the same button as above > set to direct > select the beatmasher.
and remember to direct all 3 mappings to w/e effect bank you want to (1 or 2 or 3 or 4)
Oh, my bad, didn't say... Just set effect on as "hold" mode and effect parameter as "direct".

by locked you mean not working?
go into the controller manager, find the cue button mapping and delete it, then maybe map something else there that's more usuful to you
It's better for safety to map this to same button:
Add Modifier 1 / button - inc
Add Modifier 1 / ModCondition M1=1 / button - direct 0
Add cue / ModCondition M1=1
Play track with this cue button (similar to play button) and then eventually press play and disengage cue lock if needed :)

Zoo here once again. I've been loving the Hotcue mapping that you helped me configure in my mixtrack pro. I've tried to make another modification, and it's the LED mapping for the Hotcues this time. I had successfully mapped it to light up when I press the Hotcue buttons, however, when I try to delete just one Hotcue button, all the Hotcue LEDs turn off. What could be the problem? Hope you could help me out once again sir.

There is probably a way to sync a virtual knob to the APC40, but it goes beyond MIDI, I suppose. :( Or somebody knew the Ableton Live code snippets and how they work with the knobs, because in Live it works perfectly. But I cannot understand that...Akai states the APC40 to be a MIDI controller...I don't know. :/

Hey all,
i encountered a problem, while mapping my Xone:K2 and trying to partially simulate the "Layers" feature.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
Normal State

After pressing the "Switch Layer" button

I mapped my controller to give LED feedback,
i.e. the play button blinks red, when Deck is playing; the Monitor Button lights up red, when monitor is toggled on the deck; sync button lights up in green; etc... - I did this by utilizing the standard OUT commands.
When pressing the "Switch Layer" button, I would like ALL BUTTONS to light up in red, to give me a visual indication that I am currently in the "cue point" layer. This is also possible, using the standard OUT commands.
HOWEVER:
when switching back from the "cue point" layer to "normal" layer, the LED's behavior does not switch back to "normal" mode (blinking red play button, green sync button). I tried to "inverse" the LED OUT commands, when the "Switch layer modifier" goes back to 0, but all it does is that it turns off all the LEDs.

as a work-around with leds for displaying layers/button modes it's easier mapping the mod condition, so in your case that all the buttons turn red in cue mode, e.g when mod1=1 by just setting a modifier output on all the buttons
on the normal play layer do this for the mod1=0 condition. for the play button you can add the additional condition that play=yes (or however it is worded)
so lights on if mod1=0 and playing
and lights off if mod1=0 and not playing or mod1=1 and either playing/stopped
on the sync button however, i don't think a sync condition exists, but you could use an additional mod2 for this toggling between 1 and 0 based on condition mod1=0 on the first modifier

I have an issue with a custom 3 deck mapping for a VCI-100. I have 3 knobs in a row with a button underneath each (that have LEDs). What I have set up is knobs 1,2 and 3 all have ArmyOfMe's reverb sweep superknob assigned to them and route decks A, B and C to them respectively (deck A and C use FX Unit 1, B uses FX Unit 2) while the buttons trigger the button 2 of effect united 3 + 4, ie the "freeze" effect. Now I can get the LEDs in the buttons to light up when the freeze effect is activated, but as deck A and C both use the same FX slot, both lights A and C will switch on when only one of the decks is being effected. I tried to work around this with a modifier assigned to the knobs, but this results in the light staying on even after I turn the knob all the way back (so both FX1 and FX3 are off), and I have to slightly turn on and off the knob very quickly to turn it off, which is a pain and might lead to issues of FX being applied when I dont want them too.
Anyone have any idea? I get that this was very long winded so I might have to record a Stewe style video haha!

One more question for the experts: what's your experience with the "blend" option in traktor. Is it really as arbitrary, as it seems? I ran into a few problems with the LED feedback; sometimes enabling the "blend" option solved the problem, sometimes it didn't, although the command structure was exactly the same?! The Blend option tells Traktor to also send out values between the Min and Max. If unchecked, Traktor sends out the Max value whenever the value is larger than the Min value.

1. How to create a some kind of super fader?
All of my faders are currently set to the middle. Basicly, what I want to do, is lower the frequencies when I lower the fader, and, when I increase the frequencies back to the original state and put the faders back in the middle, if I decide to go up with faders, I don't want to increase the frequencies above 0. I want to control the effects instead. Now, I don't know is this possible and how to do it. I have a basic knowledge about mappings, but this is more of an advanced feature.
2. A lot of problems with the LEDs.
a) I mapped master tempo to the button, but I don't know how to map the LED so it turns on when the master tempo is on, and turns of when I turn off the master tempo.
b) I watched a tutorial about mapping the LEDs to hotcues, but, I ran into a problem. I mapped the Hotcue states to eight different buttons, so I'm guessing they should turn on if there is that cue point in the loaded track, but they don't, and, even if they do, they turn off after I trigger them. I don't want that. I want them to stay on even if I press them (if there is a hotcue on that place of course). Same problem with sample decks. I want LEDs on if there is a sample in that sample slot.
c) Problem with colors - don't know how to set a controller range and a MIDI range so they change a color to... Let's say red for an example.
d) I want some LEDs to be on all of the time, no matter if I press that buttons or not, but, don't know how to do it.
That's about it. I'm hoping I'll get some kind of help so I can solve at least one of my five problems.
