Image Line closed their forums to customer-only so I've got no idea what's in the latest version, where are they at and how are they doing.
I really want to buy it but the promised Traktor tag and FLAC support is probably still not solved, therefore useless at this point.
Anyone has updates? Shame that such a great software is so buried so even people willing to buy it won't find the necessary information...:confused:

Yeah but the demo is 1.31.3 and the last time I was in there there was already a 1.39 release candidate version and 1.4 was put as coming soon.
i wonder if they still let Google bots view the page, then you could view it though cached data on Google.
This program has so much potential. Just so much that they need to fix and build upon.
Yeah it's absolutely essential, offers exactly what I need and want to do! But they won't fucking include these two trivial options, I mean, they should have started with these!
Thats IMAGE-LINE for you. If you dont buy, they dont provide any support. Thats something I've been dealing with since Fruity Loops 2 came out...
Kind of offtopic, but if NI wants to keep up with things, they should implement VST support into Traktor :) If they do, they have won. And, its not like they are unknown to VST's or AU's!
Deckadance looks really nice, but I wont use it until I know its 99% stable, and there are a lot of my friends that complain about crashing etc etc.
I will ask a friend (If he still uses it) what they say on the forums about releases and bug fixes! :)
I completely agree, Deckadance is a program i like to keep a close eye on, if they put in some serious midi implementation that rivals traktor's i wouldnt hesitate to make the change.Quote:

This is so frustrating, I too have been keeping a close eye on deckadance, and it's so close to usable for me except for a couple of really important things.
Firstly, you need to be able to load the BMP from the mp3 tag.
Secondly, the VST Effects need to be sent out through each of the decks respective outputs, not just the master. As it is now they are completely useless for someone that is mixing outside of the box.

Key lock is still as bad as it was, but I think they said with the next update (which was supposed to be released 2+ weeks ago) it will be fixed.
I originally bought deckadance, then after getting frustrated I went and bought traktor. After more frustration I'm back at using deckadance again, although not satisfied with either.
I've never had it crash- in fact, I feel it's more solid/stable than traktor is. The problem is it's soooo much less flexible. I mean, the midi settings are a complete joke. But in the end, for all its [many, many] shortcomings, I like it a little better than traktor. I think for most people here it won't be up to snuff, but I'd say, check back in a year or two to see how it's come along.
Load deckadance into a program like Ableton then split the different channels that deckadance sends out to into different Ableton channels, that way you can put VST effects on whichever deck you like.Quote:

sweet, downloading now as well. I really like deckadance with the vci-100 and i'm hoping this makes it even nicer.

"zplane élastique v2.1" if im not mistaken this is the same time stretch technology that is used in Ableton? If i'm right then the key lock should be great now!

Yeah, the algorithm license is quite expensive, maybe thats why it took them so long to implement it, didn't want to pay cold turkey without knowing the actual demandQuote:

They have just released Deckadance 1.40.5 OpenGL beta, haven't had time to try it out.
Last I mucked around with Deckadance I was loading it into LIVE as Deckadance didn't route the VST effects out with each channel out and I use an external mixer. Really annoying because it made it fairly useless for me.

I would they would stop "adding support" for controllers and actually just give us a proper functional midi assignments - the midi implementation on deckadance is single handedly the worst midi implementation i have ever seen in any dj orientated software.
Sucks heaps, because if they actually got the midi implementation right it would be a great peice of software to mix with.
