Old or new Infected Mushroom?
How exactly do Noisia not work?
They slay every genre they decide to explore
Production legends
that first track by venetian snares sounded more like some sort of sub genre of jungle to me.
then again i dont know much about jungle.
still that first track was awesome
Frogstar, thanks for the tip about Venetian Snares. This guy seems like a right chap with a great sense of humor. I started laughing during the computer reboot part but then i had to quickly fling my headphones off when the noise came on. It was a wtf-haha-holyshitWTF-ohhahahahaha moment. I'll check more of his music out.
Hm I dont have all their albums actually but my favorite ones is Classical Mushroom and Viscious Delicious. I dont usually listen to goa though... so don't kill me for liking the newer album. What do you think about the old/new IM?Quote:

My Favorite albums are Classical Mushroom, Vicious Delicious and I'm The Supervisor. Here is some of the Psytrance I enjoy. Forgive me if it's not your style or a little too hard. :) I like the old stuff and the new stuff... I'm not that fussy. I have seen them live a few times and they are awesome!

For a great album that takes you on an amazing ride listen to Future Sounds of London-"Dead Cities". Lay back on the couch and put on headphones.
Dead Cities is great but doesn't hold a candle to "Lifeforms" imo :p good to see some psy tracks in here, Boom! also, i have 3 or 4 aphex twin albums. Drukqs, Come to Daddy, Selected Ambient Works, etc :)
As far a infected mushroom go *ahem* , they are legends sure but they are pretty much considered to be a live electronica act now, and the kudos people they seem to get for being "pioneers" is unjustified.. Their first album came out in '99, about 7 years too late lol. The only albums considered to be Psy are Classical Mushroom and The gathering. Psycho! Release Me! awesome :p
Trivia: The album "The Gathering" was made using a Playstation 1 and a game called "Music 2000"
i use some X-Noize and 1200 Mics on my new mix :)
First suggestion that comes to mind is Four Tet (aka Keiran Hebden)... I'll have to try and think of some others.
While I agree that Lifeforms is amazing I've always felt Dead Cities was overlooked. It's a Thematic album that "tells" a story. Both albums give amazing mental images but Dead Cities tells a story, to me anyway, while Lifeforms deals in concepts and evolution. Pretty amazing considering they're both pretty much instrumental, huh?
Now where's the link to the latest mix you mentioned Jester? :)
In my sig buddy. "We have explosive" and "My kingdom" are personal favs from dead cities. Their 'Amorphous Androgynous" project is wicked also. Great visual artists as well!
eskmo, tipper, luke vibert, son of the electric ghost....
Look into Nero.

ew...i just said that...
The guys from noisia are still in their twenties.
They either are still students, or they just finished or something.
indeed. think it's his best work to date... but don't expect another wobble factor, this one is a throwback to his downtempo vibes. what really stands out to me is how he incorporates a lot more organic/acoustic sounds into his sound design for this record, so it sounds like old tipper but a bit fresher....
lol anyways, see for yourself... i've been raving about it to anyone within earshot since it's release, thank you for indulging me to rave some more :p
wow duerr i just got the tipper discography... and im glad i did. this guy is a genius...hes like this incredible sound chemist or something. no other way to describe it
