Love mine.
the other answer would be: I want one but can't afford it yet (me)
@weltraumpapst...ye guess u are right.
Just trying to figure out whether its right for me...hard to know before you buy it
i absolutely love mine, and i also have a S4 which it works with perfectly:cool:
Another possible answer is I'm supposed get my tax refund this weekend and this is high on the list.
it does but there are a lot of hoops to jump through, i have full benefits so i get it all back anyways.
on a side note, where are you in AB?
i love my maschine and had a ton of trouble deciding if i wanted one. heres my thoughts
pros:
incredibly intuitive.
within the first 20 minutes you can have a beat written and be working on a lead line. NI have some great tutorials on youtube and the program and controller go together better than any other i have experienced.
you can use it with other software.
i have mine set up for ableton when i want to mix electro, i have it set for traktor with my own custom mapping(which is SO easy don't let anyone tell you otherwise) for everything else. I have done sets using only my mashcine
it makes an MPC affordable and better
its like a drum machine on steroids and has an extensive library of sounds that is extremely customizable. and its cheap compared to most mpcs.
cons:
not that many people have it so if you are looking for help on a specific issue( such as how to make a dubstep wobble) you won't find much help so therefore its a pretty on your own type of program.
in conclusion:
get it. if you have any questions specifically please ask. it is the best thing i have purchased for DJing and makes production amazing.
Girlfriend gave me a Maschine for christmas.
Constantly being amazed by what i can do with it!
And with 1.6 released now supporting VST and 16 channel output .. well, i can see some pretty amazing things happening with it :D
Only had mine for about a month and love it. Just downloaded 1.6 so going to try it out now :D
Love my Maschine!
Wow thanks for all your input guys.
especially @tristancary...you have made me realise its for me :)
Definitely top of my list of my next pay cheque :)
Really!!!
Do you not feel you need more there?
my mapping is super minimalistic. it works for me. the only thing i use is an external mixer when I DJ as well as maschine.
my mapping is like this:
play= deck a play
restart = deck b play
group a = loops
bottom bank is deck a
2nd to bottom is deck b
first button is point in, 2nd is point out, 3rd is decrease loop and 4th is increase loop.
group e= hot cues/browsing
bottom bank is hot cues 1-4 deck a
2nd is hot cues 1-4 deck b
3rd is browse up, down, load a, load b
my top knob and button section is my effects/sync button.
deck a(button 1 is effect 1, 2 effect 2, 3 effect 3, 4 is sync a)
deck b (button 5 is effect 1 button 2 effect 2, 3 effect 3, 4 sync b)
my knobs are effect 1, 2, 3, and dry/wet and repeated.
it should be all attached. i hope you find it useful.
thanks!

I'd get a MPD and use the extra cash to buy sample packs that actually belong to my style.
I freaking love mine, it's a beast!
