Vestax Spin/Typhoon : 4 Decks Mapping (Traktor TSI)

Hi everyone !
I'm Thibault and i've just finished the mapping for Vestax Spin !
You can control 4 decks ! :D


It's included :

- 4 Decks control :

• To change to deck A to C it's easy, just press the "FX" knob. The knob become Blue if the deck C is used.
• To change to deck B to D it's easy, just press the "FX" knob. The knob become Blue if the deck D is used.
• To put a track on deck C, just go in the deck C mode and use the knob "Load 1"
• To put a track on deck D, just go in the deck D mode and use the knob "Load 2"



- The basic options :

• "Auto" to create a loop
• "In/out" to create a bigger loop
• Shift +"In/out" to create a smaller loop
• "-" to create a cue point (only decks A&B)
• "+" to go to a cue point (only decks A&B)

• "Sync" to sync :)
• Set a cue point
• Go to a cue point




- Other options :

• Shift + "cue" activate the filter
• No gain but a filter

• Shift + "FX" knob to change the FX selectioned
• "Mic Fx" and "Mic Pitch" to control the FX unit 1
• Shift + "Mic Fx" and "Mic Pitch" to control the FX unit 2
• "Mic on/off" knob to activate the first effect of unit 1
• Shift + "Mic on/off" knob to activate the second effect of unit 1
• "REC" knob to activate the first effect of unit 2
• Shift + "REC" knob to activate the second effect of unit 2
• Speed faders to control the speed
• Automix to see the whole playlist

Downloaded and installed yesterday, looked like all worked fine last night.
Genna give it a proper bash tonight

BTW, Just rewrote the instructions for my own benefit to print out, so might as well up them for anyone else who might want them

thanks, installed and tested and works great, originally i was usning the one created by old fashioned and that one was awesome but i liek the idea of using 4 decks especially for house music

is this compatiable with the typhoon, couldnt map my own...

When I try to switch to deck C using the FX button all it starts playing deck B instead. The mapping isn't working properly for me

is it because I'm running Traktor 1.2.4?

Thanks installed yesterday and everything working great on Macintosh and traktor pro v. 1.3.4. Looks to be more stable than running the typhoon map.

It is a mapping for the spin to use with traktor.

I'm using a traktor 4 controller and i would like to use it to mix from the new djay 4 application ..can you tell me if it's possible and where can I find a tai?

I guess since the buttons on the spin are a little different than the typhoon. I cant get the 4 decks to work.

the fx dont swap the deck to c or d.

Hi, I have a macbook air with Lion OS and Traktor pro 2.1. I have downloaded your tsi and the audio is working but not the main volume sliders or cross-fader. I have tried old-fashioned's tai and the problem is the same. Any ideas on the solution?

I've used this for about six months and just want to say thank you, it has kept me from wanting a new controller so bad and has worked great.

I guess that this is the only tsi file for Thyphon/spin.

It brings potential to the product and for the technique, controlling "as it is possible" 4 decks.

It would be nice that the tsi were official, "made by" an "made for ... ", but individual persistence it´s the ultimate weapon and i´m glad that someone had the persistence to keep it going.

I could´t get it to work in my Thyphon, i don´t know...:/but no prob, i use it on serato intro. (less is more) :)

There is also a four deck jog wheel effects mapping that is interesting, and a few more but not nearly as sweet as this map which has been my primary one for around a year.

Search the forum and you will find a few more, even though I think you probably found the best already.
