Christmas party I did for my homeboy, was supposed to be 3 djs and a live band, and I did the warm up set, starting off with top 40 and electro house, then the cops came so I was the only dj to spin that night :p

It was really great. Probably one of the funnest theme events I've DJ'd at. We even had people show up as ghostbusters. It was great!
Oh, also, I should mention I move and dance so much in the DJ booth most pictures never come out of me. hehe.
There's a REALLY bad picture of me DJing on an ugly night. hehehehe. It's also pre a lot of my new tattoos on my arms so it's a rare picture of me almost ink free!

Here is a couple of pics of when I was spinning at a party where I had also booked Atmos (Spiral Trax Records), My laptop had broken down and did not see the soundcard anymore, and I had around 20 cds and 20 vinyls to chose from, I burned mp3s while spinning and putting them on! Also one of the other djs that I had booked did not turn up, so I ended up doing 2 sets x 2.5 hours! Shit, stressy as fuck, but it rocked!

from left to right: My best friends girlfriend, My Girlfriend, My Mother at the gig, they had great fun! My girl totally digged both my sets and surprisingly she LOVED Atmos. She is normally not at all into Progressive Psy or Acid / Techno so.... :)

Well...I've hit a wall. You can only do so much with serato performance wise. I really would like to use traktor....but honestly the whole having to re-analyze 50k mp3s is my big limiting factor. That's almost worth my lack or performance options. haha.
hehe, that's the only reason why i mentioned for ppl to guess the software. Is because you could see one of the wheels. :)

Urgh... Well, if you had two pcs, you could have the system re-analyze 24/7.
What you could also try, is make a start with your new tracks and than start going back piece by piece.

Yeah...that's a tough sell. I'm gonna try talking to the NI people see if they can tell me a way to turn off the BPM rewrite in traktor during analyze. I wouldn't mind it so much if I didn't have to monitor each analyze for the wrong BPM!!

The club had to big projection screens on either side of the booth, the DJ(s) are in front of where I was positioned. In the other lounge room, another 7 42inch wide screen plasmas were mounted on either side of the wall playing the same video coming out of the video screens.

If you're interested, here's a five-minute vid taken from the booth, though it was about 4 a.m. after the crowd had
thinned & they'd run out of gas for the flame cannons (they're just burning, not spouting). You can see the
Burning man on his tower in the b.g.:

Well I thought I would tone this down a bit (seeing all these mad set ups etc!) and chuck up a flick from my fathers 60th birthday bash from last weekend!
It was on a property out in the bush and my self, my brother and another guy had a bit of a session. Me mixing up breaks and drum n bass while they did some live stuff with an mc 303, mc 909, a sampler and a fancy casio keyboard!
Had it cranking pretty loud through a decent PA system, was great fun!
