Anyone else having trouble getting on?
Can't get through the initializing stage?
They were bombed!
damn Flash pre-loader is no good.
always Juno.
it was stalling for me earlier but is now working fine. they've just launched the 'new' site.
Jip, new site launched. And man, it looks anti-good!
looks beta still..Fonts look bad .
agreed it's not the best looking. sound quality much improved on the clips though
www.audiojelly.com FTW and plus their mp3's are a bit cheaper
thats funny the site is launched. i live close to denver and got an invitation a couple of weeks ago to beta test the new site. they are suppose to be incorporating some cool features to make it like the good 'ole' record store. man, i miss those days.
thanks all. I got it up and working. and yes, the new site looks liek poo
Yeah, new crate functions if I heared correctly. :D
I was all excited after buying 13 tracks the other night thinking I would not have to key/grid them, but they were not pre gridded... I guess that might be why
launches fine for me but wont navigate (search or anything)
I understood that tracks where now supposed to be gridded and have key info. I'm not sure if this meant all tracks or just ones released since the new beatport opened.
so yea, I'd really like to try it out and all but its still not functioning correctly.
(tried cache clearing, reinstalling java, flash, active x, firefox & IE, reboot....nothing)
Am I the only one having trouble fully browsing this site?
I've tried the following:
Clearing cache
Resetting browser defaults
Setting browser security settings to lowest level
Uninstalling/reinstalling Flash
Uninstalling/reinstalling Java
Disabling Anti-Virus and Web Browsing Security in the Anti Virus app (Avast)
Uninstalling Anti-Virus
Uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox
RebootRebootRebootReboot
Although Im due for a reformat, I'd reeeeeeeeally rather not do that for simply browsing the effing Beatport site.
Im running Windows XP SP3 and last ran an update about a week ago. Im connecting wirelessly on my home network. My wife's computer seems to browse the site fine. I wrote beatport support, let them know that I've not purchased from their site in almost 3 weeks as a result and they told me to...........................clear my cache.... (yea thanks...)
I know this is not a troubleshooting thread but Im desperate here guys. Is there anybody else having the same issue?
I too cannot search on the new beatport. Did not try fix this behaviour though because it's not my favorite source for new tracks. I'm using FF3 and Vista.
I'll be reformatting tonight (reluctantly) since its time to do this anyway.
I'll let you know what my results are.
I've never liked flash based sights. They take forever to load and their compatibility issues are a pain. Give me a sight that works, is easy to navigate and one where the content is streamlined.
I'll take a solid Itunes app that asks me to update every month but works 100% of the time with 99% of the users out there over pretty pictures and animations any day.
I am having no difficulties at all. It seems to run pretty smooth... And thats using IE
Am I missing something here? I can find no way to view the new releases on Beatport. If I want to specify a genre, artist, or label, I'm fine. But I used to just skim through all their new stuff. Now there seems to be no way to do that. If that's the case, why in god's name would they shoot themselves in the foot like that?
this release was poorly planned
I reformatted last night, briefly checked the site and it seems to work fine but this is Win XP SP2, IE 6 and current version of Flash.
I'll finish up configuring tonight, install SP3, IE 7, run a Windows update and try with Firefox too. (I'll perform them in steps testing the site along the way with each change)
Good times
reformat did it
it worked during and between all steps (with IE6, with FireFox, with Windows XP SP2, SP3, with IE7, with up to date Windows Update)
Whatever...
Yes it's Friday night, yes its 11:44 PM, yes this is sad :D
